WiFi Access At Disney Resorts

I was wondering if their are any plans to add WiFi access at the Disney Resorts.

There was a thread a little while back concerning high-speed internet at WDW and the overall thought was Disney probably isn't in a hurry to add high-speed internet. There probably isn't a huge incentive/demand for Disney to incur this cost - and it would be pretty costly for them. Disney sells escaping the real world. So they have that backing their not adding the cost. And if you think about the overall guest makeup, there's probably not that many of us geeks that take their laptops on vacation.

Wireless would be a step after high speed. So we're probably looking pretty far out for wireless high speed access at Disney.

I'd guess that if WiFi pops up at Disney that the Swan and Dolphin will be the first places to do it since they're not Disney owned and Starwoods seems to like to cater to the business traveler.

well swan and the dolphin have high speed in the rooms. And some of the deluxes have wifi in the lobby's. I know at the Grand they have it in the lobby and the concierge lounge.

GF has wireless in the lobby???

Do you have any more details on this? Are they attempting to charge for the access?

yes of course they charge for it. I don;t have the exact details. But the company Smart City who also does there local telephone is in charge of it.
