Yeah she was something. She talks about not hurting the animals but she HITS the dog? What was up with that? If I was ZZ, I would be crying too! I think she is a bit gruff with her kids, like how she was to her daughter in the hotel room. How about her preaching to her kids about shedding tears and then she did.....what a freak!

I wish this show did a follow up later on like Wife Swap does.

She wasn't a nutcase as much as she was a HYPOCRITE!
"I lead a healthy life and I like to influence others to do the same" *lights up cigarette* (before you flame me - yes, I smoke too...but she's preaching one thing and doing another!)

I can't belive the Cajun mom gave 20k to the vegan mom...so not deserving of it...and she (Barbara - vegan mom) complained about 10k going to her husband for his little "dream"...of an orchard. Um - didn't she say during the first episode that they (vegans) plant what they eat...and now she's complaining about it?

Even her husband seemed annoyed. "What's mine is hers and what's her's is hers". I thought it was arrogant of her to allocant money on behalf of the other family to charity, particularly when I didn't hear her say that she was donating $3K of her $20K to a cause.

The vegan mom was just such a closed minded, pretentious witch.

I assumed that she had already picked the charity, and that it was something like PETA or one of her "vegan" organizations. Just another way she forced her lifestyle choices on another group of people.

Last night's episode may have been the finest hour of television ever produced. I was so happy to see this woman coming off looking so pretentious, judgemental, self-important and mean that it made my night.
The vegan mom came off looking SO incredibly evil.

Tammi - Vegan Lady gave ZZ 2K for his Mudboat, 4K on a family vacation. 3k for a charity - that is all I can remember at this time.

Cajun mom gave 2k to husband for his orchard & a well. 1k to each kid. 4k or 5k for trip to Hawaii or Mexico (I think), 20K to the mom for whatever she wanted. thats all I can remember on that one too.

Oh and I agree, they did make her look awful.....actually she made herself look that way.

Diana opens her envelope and begins to read. "Three-thousand will go to charitable organizations," Diego's face shows how stunned he is. And Barbara sets aside four-thousand for a "vacation of their dreams." The remainder of the money is set aside to get eco-friendly engines for their boats and repairs to the roof of their home. And finally, ZZ's name is read. He's been hoping to get money to purchase a mud boat of his own. Diana reads from the letter that Barbara did indeed give him the money for one. ZZ is thrilled.

Barbara begins to read her list. She tells the kids that "if there are any tears, there will be no lettuce wrap." Diana first leaves one-thousand dollars to the children for electric scooters. Then eight-thousand is set aside for the Gates family to go on vacation. Jim receives five-thousand dollars in order to being planting an orchard on the lot adjacent to their home and another five-thousand to build a well. Barbara is furious, "What the hell did you talk about?" she snaps at Jim. Barbara reads on. "Ten-thousand dollars for a Jacuzzi," Barbara is stunned. Why would she want a Jacuzzi? Lucy jumps up, excited and says, "I told her that we always wanted one! Sorry mommy, I thought you'd like one!" But Barbara becomes even more furious and begins to cry. Then Diana comes through in the end, leaving the remaining twenty-thousand dollars for her to use as she saw fit.

I still can't get over that the evil woman made them spend all that money on engines for their boats??? And then she was mad about a jacuzzi??? If I were the cajun woman I'd appeal, thats so ridiculous!

I loved how the Vegan mom wrote a letter to the Cajun mom about how she should be showing more love to ZZ and about being a better mother to him. Then they show the Vegan mom yelling at her DD while reading the letter and again on the bed in the hotel room. Who is she to give advice like that? What a witch!
