I've got this cat, Oreo, that has started leaning back against my bedroom wall like it's a recliner. Check it out!

She sure looks comfortable...a pillow might be nice. My old cat has started sniffing Bounce dryer sheets-she gets them out of the trash, snorts them for a bit and then starts rolling around on them. She will scratch if I try to take them away.

My pug is 10 months old, she thinks shes a cat, she lays on the back of the couch. She also has this one bone she doesn't chew on but she HAS to hide it. As soon as we find it and put it in her toy basket, she grabs it up and runs around the house with it in her mouth till she finds a new hiding spot. This is the only bone she does this with! She chews on the reat of them, but this particular one is still new. I can't figure this out.

well I don't have her any more but I had a large german shepard that used to sit ON TOP OF her dog house. Being an A shape roof....it just did not look comfortable.....but I guess she wanted to be higher up so she could check things out

I have a 75-lb. Bouvier des Flandres who LOVES to watch TV! And, yes, she actually does watch it. She sits in front of it and you can see her ears go up and down in reaction to what is on.

The best part (or maybe the worst part?) is that if there is an animal on, she will try to catch it. First she starts getting fidgety, then she spins around a few times, and if we don't stop her in time, she will jump up at the TV in an effort to catch whatever the critter is! (We don't watch Animal Planet around here too often for a very good reason!) ;)

Most of our TVs have lovely scratch marks on them, courtesy of the dog! :p

My golden is a tv watcher also. But, it's my 3 y/o orange tabby that is truly strange. He loves bread!! He will chew right thru the bag to get to the bread. He also loves to chew plastic bags. If he can find a plastic bag with bread in it....he's in heaven. We had a plastic bag with 5 boxes of Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies in it. There he was, chewing on the bag. Upon inspection....the 5 boxes all had tooth holes right thru them!!! Yikes.

My one sheltie LOVES marshmellows. We actually gave him the choice between meat and marshmellows and he chose the sweets. He doesn't get them often.

I have a cat who eats cobwebs. Saves me the trouble of cleaning them, wish she could do ceilings ;).

I love the name you chose for your cat..."Oreo"...that's cute!:D

It's a beautiful spring day here today, so we've been out in the garden. All three of our cats love company and have been outside with us rolling around on their backs, running around chasing absolutely nothing and just generally lazing around in the sun. They definitely have spring fever!

What a cute cat you have!! I have two nutty kitties myself with so many weird quirks that I think all other cats are "weird" and mine are the "normal" ones ;) Wouldn't trade them for the world though.

Whenever my Havanese, Lola, hears the ICQ "knock" when someone on my list comes online, or hears a doorbell on TV she runs up to the door barking. :p

She also likes to carry around (and hide) these air-filled bags that were used as "packing" for some books I ordered from Amazon.

I have a Weimaraner that suckles on pillows, he wraps his paws around it and it almost looks like he is nursing! He has gone through several over the last 5 years!

Our first Weim did the same thing, but only with blankets or comforters!

Blondie, my mom and dad's Weimie does the same thing! We call it her "nunu" (that's what I called my blankie when I was a kid).

My cat Adolph has to lie on every single box or new thing that comes into the house. My cat Max takes sweaters out of the laundry and drags them through the house. He "straddles" them (for lack of a better term). I kind of don't want to know what he's actually doing to them  ). My cat Gigi comes flying through the house to the toilet every time it's flushed.

My beagles have some funny habits, too. When you scratch Wilma's back, she licks the air, like a snake. Freddie screams along whenever she hears the "Happy Birthday" song (she thinks she's getting cake every time she hears that). When you scratch her back, she munches on you. Desi just rolls in poop or whatever other unpleasant-smelling thing she can find in the yard. Lucy has a "lovey" that she munches on and sleeps with, like a little kid. She also rolls in poop sometimes, too. That's the most annoying animal habit in our house (followed closely by the turd-snacking habit that all of the beagles have developed  ).

OUr oldest cat is 17. She steals mushrooms off of any food item she can......goes nuts for most vegetables. She also catches birds and mice and beheads them (not eat them, mind you) even though she has absolutely NO claws.....

......our horse LOVES lifesavers peppermints. She will do anything for one. She chews it, and then lifts and smacks her lips (kind of like Mr. Ed) and raises her tail. Almost like she is getting a little zing!

They're not chasing nothing....didn't you know that cats are motivated by ghosts?

Our great dane, Mick, used to hug people. He would put his paws over your shoulders and put his head/neck against your face/neck. Usually, he did this when you were sitting on the couch. He was a very affectionate puppy.

OK, I gotta tell ya, OREO is a strange name for a cat. And that's exactly what I told DD13 when she got her cat. But guess what ...we have an Oreo, too. DH and I usually call her O.

LOL! Our old grandma dog will lie down with her back to the hearth and then roll over so her legs and feet are all scrunched up next to the hearth, and it looks like she is hugging it. Seeing her lying there isn't so funny, but seeing how she gets in the postion is!

I have a bichon that curls back her lips and smiles to greet everyone who visits. She shakes her head from side to side at the same time. It makes her look fierce, but she really thinks she is smiling at you. :teeth: She also sleeps with one foot in her mouth. I guess she is sucking her thumb.

Our other bichon doesn't like for anyone to make strange sounds. If you make "kissy" sounds or whistle she runs for cover under the bed. She is also terrified of scissors. We don't know why. They send her into hiding as well. My DH says she is just plain squirrelly. She is dentally challenged and her teeth are in a permanent smile - poor baby.

Our cat thinks he is a dog. He comes when you call, better than the dogs do. He has a strip of fabric that we call his snake. He wanders around the house with snake in his teeth, then ends trailing behind him. He sleeps in the bathroom sink.

We used to have 2 cats (only 1 now), but when we lived in Idaho, we had a wood burning stove. Both cats would lie in front of stove when we had a fire burning until their fur was so hot that we could not pet them. Then they would roll over, and cook the other side!!

Now the one remaining just runs around outside (no wood burning stove in New Orleans!), then comes back inside "talking" about her adventures!
