Widow View at CA Grill?

When I called for my PS at the California Grill, they said we couldn't request a window seat. I wanted to get the window so we could watch teh fireworks while we ate (ressie is for 11-13). Has anyone ever requested a window? If not, do I just ask when we get there and wait until one becomes available?? HELP!!

request when you arrive. when i made PS last year, i mentioned it was for my b-day, which was noted on the reservation. but when we arrived my husband mentioned both the window table and my b-day. no problem. you did not mention the time of the PS. if it is early, then i would be there when they opened. good luck!

They don't take requests for different views, servers, tables, etc. in advance. Best advice is get there early and request it at the podium. Keep in mind that a window table at the CG is one of the more coveted things at WDW, and they can't accomodate everyone, so don't be too disapointed if you can't get one. You'll still be able to see from most any seat in the restaurant, and you can always go out on the observation deck to watch as well.

We've eaten there half a dozen tiemsand only once had a window seat--and there weren't fireworks that night

I know this is evil . . . but a Widow View . . . . people are just dying to get those seats.
