Hi,

Is the Wide World of Sports worth a look?
Im thinking maybe if theres a couple of hours to kill it might be an option. It will keep me out of the shops for a start!!!
I know they have got the American Footy thing on there, which my Husband will enjoy but what else is there to keep me amused?

I wouldn't count on the American Footy thing holding his interest, it was pretty lame.

Unless there is something you partivcularly wanted to see taking place, ie baseball spring training or a youth championship taking place, I wouldn't bother. They still don't seem to know what to do with the WWoS yet. I've got a couple of ideas, but you can't suggest ideas to Disney as they are scared poopless that you'll sue them in the future for using your idea

My husband & 2 DS visited the world of Sport early one Sat evening in May, leaving DD & myself in Magic Kingdom to do the rides they wouldn't go on.

When they got there the event was Pokemon card trading!!!!!!!!!
The american football thing was closed , presumably because it was after 6.

The only thing open was the cafe. They came back very dissappointed & I wsas so glad I didn,t go.

The only good thing was that the security guard let them in without swiping their hopper passes.

I've got to agree with Sue, went there a couple of years ago with my brother in law, both of us big sports fans, stayed 5 minutes and walked back out! There was nothing there, the restaurant wasn't open the only thing that was open was the shop.

I would only recommend going there for a baseball game or another big sporting event (which seem to be few and farbetween these days), which are a separate ticketed event (only about $5 for the baseball - well worthwhile, IMHO). The NFL Experience (American footy) has closed, so there really isn't a whole lot there to keep you amused, I'm afraid.

I shall be going to see the Orlando Rays play baseball at Wide World of Sports in August and can't wait :)

Biggy, the fishing and riding are done in another area. The riding is from Fort Wilderness, fishing is from a couple of locations. Port Orleans is one , I think, and I believe the other is Fort Wilderness

....... if anyone is going out in March, there are 16 Atlanta Braves Spring Training Home Games - the details are here
