Full face of makeup, hair styled, excessive jewelry, dress pants and a top with heels is dressed to the nines.
Here's a picture I found. The full break would look sloppy, but the no break is choppy.

I like the quarter break myself and have them on almost all my pants - in which the majority are boot cut or straight leg. I've only recently embraced a narrower straight leg(at Old Navy) which is narrower than the usual straight leg but not so full on skinny as the skinny jeans, which are basically as tight as a thick pair of leggings.
The narrower straight legs are a better proportion to the roomier tops I wear. When I wear these tops with boot cut, I look dumpy & frumpy.
I have a couple bell bottom jeans that were in a few seasons ago. I bought them as an over-reaction to finding out a couple of my jeans tapered into those dreaded "mom jeans."![]()
So I made sure NO jeans could possibly be mistaken to taper IN.
Now, I'm trying to figure out a way to narrow them to at least boot cut, if possible. The problem is that the seams of old jeans have a faded line right at the seam and it's quite obviously missing when the jeans have been altered.

You could try a bleach pen?
When you alter the shape of a jeans leg you have to do it from the inseam-side only; if you can't manage that, they are pretty much not alterable.
