OK, so I was just on the Neiman Marcus web site.. I am not a shoeaphile ( that honor goes to my handbag fetish), but there were some stunning shoes on there--Christian Louboutin, Manolo's, Prada, etc. But I can't wear a single pair of them, because they are ALL B width. Come on now, tell me everyone has skinny feet!!! I know I have read stories about women having their operated on, so they can fit into these shoes. But can't these designers just make C and D widths too. Imagine how much more business they would get. So wide feet people unite, so we can buy some of the pretty shoes too!!!!

AMEN SISTA!!! I too suffer. Im stuck with champions and thats all I can make fit. I have wide feet and a pinkie toe bunion on each side :(

9 1/2 EEEE here. I have had shoe salesmen tell me they can't help me :scared1:

XD I'm just glad I don't like shoes, and that's all I'm going to say about my foot size (read: width).

Though I must say I am a sucker for a good leather boot with lots of buckles. Though luckily, they make those big.

I totally agree! I am torn between foot pain and shoes that are remotely stylish. I am fine with wearing flats or heels or whatever, I just want them to be cute (not clunky) and I want them to be wide enough for my feet. I don't get this either. I suspect a lot of women are in our boat.

Zappos is your friend!

I have Fred Flintstone feet. Super flat and wide. I do okay in the winter when clunky shoes are more acceptable, but once summer hits I'd like to wear more than flip flops and Tevas.

I wear a 8.5 AA. I can't find shoes that fit well in stores other than the high end stores and many designers do not make shoes in my width either. And on top of that, I find that the B widths in many brands are wider than they used to be so a lot of my shoes are too wide.

I won't even discuss bra shopping as it is fun when you wear a 30B.

Unfortunately, the farther off what is "average" one is, the fewer choices one has.

I agree with Zappos, and Nordstrom's. I have wide smallish feet. Hard to fit. But on both of those sites, you can sort by size, including width, and style so you can find what you want. Department stores are useless.
Good luck!

Someone with wide feet can buy shoes at Payless? I can't even get my foot into their wide shoes. 9 EE here. I only buy my shoes online now. Zappos, Maryland Square, Shoe.com. I am very Pooh size and some plastic surgery would probably do me wonders, but all I really want is to have a normal size foot. Buying and wearing shoes is so depressing and agonizing. :sad1::sad1:

Do you have a Shoe Show where you live? Every once in a while I'll go there to get my daughter some shoes, and I'll try some on just in the off chance something will fit. Well, I found out that sometimes the regular width shoes are WIDER than the wide width in the same style.

Zappos are a god send. But I would just love to treat myself to a true high end designer pair---love the red soles of the Louboutin's.

I'm trying to find cute white shoes in size 5.5 wide. I might as well be trying to find the real Noah's Ark, as the search would be just as difficult.

9 1/2 AAAA here with the exact same problem.

Why is it that designers think women with wide feet and women with narrow feet only want to wear UGLY shoes.

you all aren't giving me much hope for my DD10. The girl inherited her daddy's square feet and buying shoes for her is no fun. Stride Rite was great until she hit about a size 1 - but they only make extra wide shoes for the little sizes. Now she finally can start wearing women's shoes - she's about a 5 1/2 or 6. But finding something that fits that is also age appropriate - ugh. I buy her New Balance tennies online - they are the only ones I can find in an extra wide. Regular shoes do not come in XW, so we try to find a wide we can make work.

Just wanted to let y'all know - Stuart Weitzman has a good variety of shoes in wide width. I've been able to get sexy strappy heels and they fit great!

I know it isn't Laboutin - but they do have some great shoes, check it out on Zappos.
