Wicked Wind Down Check In/Fireworks Time ?s on 11/1

Hi Disfriends!

I have a Wicked Wind Down reservation on 11/1. As a relatively new DVC member, this will be my first time doing a Wicked Wind Down event. I was reviewing all of my plans for our RunDisney trip in MDE, and I realized I have a few questions:
1. There is no Wicked Wind Down referenced in my MDE. I have a confirmation/reservation number, but I can't link it in MDE? When I called DVC member services about this, the CM I spoke to said she was unable to link the WWD event to my MDE. Is this true...is this event "unlinkable" in MDE?
2. When I asked what time we need to check in to the event, she said she honestly didn't know. She could not see when fireworks are for that night. She says the check in policy is normally 30 minutes before fireworks. Because there is no reference to an exact time of fireworks because it is considered a "special event" fireworks, she had no idea what time I should check in. When I checked on the WDW website, the language about fireworks is vague. Does anyone know what's what with fireworks that night? Or when we should check in to WWD?

DH and I are bringing two friends with us for this first WWD experience. I just want to make sure we have a great time and we check in when we're supposed to. Any advice or intel would be so appreciated.

It won’t automatically link, but you can create a Note that will put it into your MDE and that of any F&F you list.

Check the MK park schedule for November 1 on the WDW website. It will show when the fireworks start. You can check in at TOTWL 30 minutes before.

I just checked the schedule - fireworks are at 10:15 PM on November 1.

@CarolynFH Thank you for the info! I pulled up the WDW website when I was taking to the DVC member services CM and mentioned the 10:15 time from the website. She said that's an event time, not a fireworks time? But, I'll take your advice, and we'll check in at 9:45 pm. Thanks so much!

I’m curious - can you arrive to Wicked Winddown earlier than 30 minutes before fireworks?

Do they start letting people up as early as 5pm?

We booked this for Dec 5 when fireworks are listed at 10:00. The CM I spoke to linked the reservation in my MDE account and it showed up immediately, so it is possible to do that. The CM stated we should arrive at 9:30 which matches what it says on MDE, so you're correct that showing up at 9:45 for 10:15 fireworks on 11/01 is the way to go.

It's odd that the CM the OP talked to couldn't link the reservation in MDE, but then they weren't able to look up the fireworks schedule either . I don't think it matters though. We did this a year ago and that one was never linked in MDE (though I did manually enter a note as a reminder) and we had no issues checking in for the event. Still - some consistency would be nice.

@Pens Fan thanks so much for the info! Yeah, I feel like the CM I talked to just didn't have all the info. After I read the previous posts, I noodled around in MDE and I was actually able to link my WWD event in MDE myself. So, I don't know why she wasn't able to? And, I don't know why she didn't know about fireworks either?

I'm grateful to the awesome folks here on the Disboards! Thank you so much for the info. We'll plan on checking in at 9:45 for the WWD event on 11/1. We're excited to experience this for the first time! Doubly excited to see special Halloween fireworks!
