Has anyone seen this musical? I am taking Dd to see it this July while we are in Chicago. I watched the trailer they have on the website, looks intriguing.
I got really good seats, but found it odd they are 14&16? Are all the seats even numbered?
Any feedback? I'm really excited to see this show!

Hi there...we just saw it a few weeks ago and LOVED it!! Excellent show. 2.5 hrs long. Seats are even on one side of the theater and odd on the other side...I think you're facing the stage, on the right side. I suggest going to eat at Petterino's....its right down the block. Make reservations far in advance, but their food is awesome! Theres a website w/a menu if you google it. Have fun!

I've seen the show in NYC and my parents saw the road company in Tampa and we all loved it. They bring identical sets on the road so the experience is the same as seeing it in NY.

Enjoy and come back and tell us all about it!

It is fantastic! DH & I saw it in Pittsburgh and we both loved it so much we went to see it in Columbus, OH. DH is currently trying to talk me into seeing it AGAIN in NYC.

I just finished reading the book and it's sequel Son of A Witch. FANTASTIC STORY! We are hoping to be able to afford a bus trip to NYC this summer or fall for a show. I would love to see the differences between the 2. I figured the book would help me understand more of the show.

We saw it in Cleveland, I think last year. It was excellent. I would highly recommnend it.

I've seen the Touring Company twice and thought the show was fantastic. I love the story, the music is wonderful, and the cast was incredible. The set and costumes are amazing and pretty much identical from show to show (I think New York has a bigger set), and I've heard great things about the cast in Chicago, especially the actress who plays the lead. I'd definatly recommend seeing it. :thumbsup2

I wish I could see this play. It looks fantastic.

Though, to be honest, I only want to see it b/c I know Idina Menzel was once in it...nah, I'm kidding.

The book sucked, though.

We saw it in Chicago last May. I enjoyed it and surprisingly my husband did too. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and had dinner at Wildfire. The next day we shopped on the Mag Mile. It was the best present DH's ever given me.

Have a great time!

Thanks for all the feedback!
I'm going to buy the soundtrack this week, I loved the music they played in the trailer!

Yes, we saw in Chicago. I think it was the summer before last. It was fantastic. We took both of our kids. At the time they would have been 8 & 10. They loved it. Hope you enjoy!

DH & I saw Wicked in NYC and LOVED it!!!!
definately a Great play to see

DH and I just saw Wicked in NYC last week. It was great!! The voices on those actresses was unbelievable! It is long but the time flew by. It was so neat to see because I never read the book and had no idea of the story. I was always just a huge Wizard of OZ fan as a kid. It was so great seeing how the story began. I will probably go see it again with DD.

I saw it Wednesday in NYC (before the snow and two cancelled flights). The show is amazing. I still have the songs running through my head. Simply a wonderful experience.

I love Wicked! It's my favorite b-way show! I've seen it 3 times on B-way and I want to see it again!!!!

You'll have a blast! Enjoy! :cool1:

I have seen the show 7 times in Chicago!!! The show is fabulous!! You will love it!!!

Your seats are actually off to the side. The numbers that would be like 101 and 102 would be center seating. If you felt like being adventurous, you could try for the lottery and if you won, get front row seating for just $25 a ticket. (That is why I hace seen the show sooo many times)

To join the lottery you need to be at the Border's (just down the street form the theater) a few minutes befreo 2 hours before the actual show. Go to the third floor and enter the drawing. Ask any employee for an entry form. Be sure to put just one in for each person in your party. Then hope, and pray that they draw one of your names out of the witches hat. Be sure to have a picture ID for each person that is entering the drawing as that is a requirement of getting your tickets. No picture ID, no tickets. If your daughter is younger, a school ID or whatever works as long as it is a picture ID. If you win, you will be given a voucher to PURCHASE up to 2 FRONT ROW tickets for the show for just $25 a ticket. They lottery 20 tickets, so that chances are fair....we have won some and we have lost some...and some days, we have both won tickets...so nothing is imposible. Then of course if you do win, you can always sell the tickets that you bought originally....many people who win have done that....some for what they paid for them...and others for just $25 a ticket. Selling them for what you paid for them or less than what you paid for them is not schalping and is lega(There have been discusions of this at past lotteries!) Anyway, regardless of my rambling....enjoy the show. And if you are going on a Saturday...they do have 2 shows...a matinee and an evening show whould you want to try twice for the lottery. The matinee is at 2 and the evening show at 8. PM me if you have any questions! You are going to have a great time!
