Do the Universal parks and hotels have Wi-Fi? If so, how well does it work?

I've found it is good in the resorts and spotty in the parks.

Never use it in the parks, but resorts are fine.

We Skype every day from the RP and it's always been a great connection.

We have found the in-park WiFi to be pretty good - except inside of many of the buildings. For example, in Gringott's, it worked until you were almost down to the 'office' level.

Coverage and speed was very good in the resorts. It's been a few years, and I think they've changed it since, but we had issues a while back with the number of family devices. I think they only authorized 4 devices per room. We're a device-heavy family and between the 5 people (2 rooms), we had ~12 devices.

I think they have raised that number, but we haven't stayed there as a family in a few years (maybe 5 years??).

Someone else may have more information as to the number of devices.

Yep, the info about how many devices is in the stickies linked in the hotel forums.......:thumbsup2

Do I remember correctly that the WiFi in the parks requires your Comcast/Xfinity login information?

If I recall correctly, you connect to the network called "Universal" and it asks if you are an Xfinity customer. If you are, you can use your Xfinity credentials to log into the WiFi. If not, you enter a name and email and you are in.

I don't think there was any advantage to either method (like faster access or something)

I was wondering about the benefit of using an Xfinity login vs just the name/email route. Since I don't use my Xfinity info very often, I couldn't remember it to try it. I found the Wifi last March to be spotty when I was logged in with my email. I'll get a chance to try again in a month! We're staying for a week at CBBR.
