Is there access at the campgrounds? What about at the parks? How much???? Karen

Originally, if you had a need to hook up your laptop to the internet a phone jack was (actually, still is) available at the reception outpost. Disney has finally figured out that folks want to stay connected while camping, so a couple of more options are now available. No matter what folks tell you, WiFi is NOT one of the Disney options at the campsites, but a small hot spot exists on the porch of Pioneer Hall and in the Internet "cafe" at the Reception drive thru . While many folks have reported WiFi signal at FW campsites, this is probably from someone who has set up their own WiFi hot spot in their RV. In addition to the dial up phone jack at the reception outpost, two Disney options are available:

* High Speed Cable modems at all sites with cable TV access
* Internet "cafe" at the Reception drive thru

Either option will set you back $9.95 for 24 contiguous hours of access.

You can get a cable modem (to hook up at your site with a deposit) or you can go to Trailsend or the Reception building for the "Hot-Spot. Cost for access is $9.95 for 24 hrs or $4.95/hr.. I think the modem is already in the cabins.

...and there is no WiFi in the parks - paid or otherwise.

Just saw at Walmart pay as you go mobile broadband. Considering it as an option. I think the prices were better than Disney's, can have it at my site or anywhere else for that matter, as I need it. Didn't notice the purchase price, but glanced at the day, week, month prices and they seemed reasonable.
