Wi-Fi in the parks, is it any better now?

MP itself shouldn’t require much data. It’s just pushing tiny bits of text back and forth. For the people who have experienced battery drain, my guess is they may be using other features of the app more frequently. For example, downloading alll of those free PhotoPass pics is going to eat a bunch of data. Also the map likes to refresh when the app is reopened and I believe that is downloading image data as well.
If you do MaxPass/PhotoPass, do you have to download the pictures to your phone, or can you wait until you get home and download them to the computer (7 day trip, 4 at Disney, 1 at Universal, the other two are travel days.)

You can download them from a computer when you get home. I think you have 60 days to do so.

We have Verzion and pretty great service in the parks. I gave up trying to use park wifi, it's just too spotty and just use my data.

I hedged my bet with AT&T on the cell phone and a Sprint WiFi hotspot in the backpack. Both connected to a battery pack. Gotta have that coverage for maxpass!
