Why do you love Disney? What is it that gives you the Magic?

That is simple Nat. It is the cast members. We have made so many lasting friendships in the 27 years we have been going there we don't have time to do rides. And we love it.:bounce:

It is actually an indescribable feeling to me. I love the ambiance of the parks - the carefree attitude. No worries - the real world ceases to exist for a brief moment.

As I have been more involved and made a greater effort here and other boards - it is now also the people. When I think of the friendships I have made, the bonds I have formed it amazes me that such a diverse community can have such commonalities. I can now say it is nothing to me to talk to someone from CA or PA or FL or NH or MD or RI or anywhere in a given week.

You know since I was a little girl I have adored everything about Disney. Growing up I liked Disney quite a bit but my obsession with them really didn't start til I was a teenager. It was kind of a quiet love of Disney until I married Britt and then POW it took off. Of course that is because he encouraged where as everyone in my life before that would just shake their head. But from the first trip Britt understood.

I don't know how to describe what it is about the parks. From the moment that I walk into them I am smiling and my heart feels lighter. I want to skip down main street and drag britt by one arm over to splash mountain so we can hit it first. I feel such a rush of Joy just being there. I think part of it is that there are so many happy people there. No matter what walk of life you come from or even what country the reaction of those at the parks is one of utter joy and happiness. Everyone is smiling and having a good time. No matter whether it is their first visit or their hundred. My kids are the same way. I started them very young and they haven't been to the parks in over a year but even my youngest one which is 2 1/2 is chomping at the bit to go. He remembers how much fun it was and can't wait to go see Mickey Mouse.

The coming trip promises to be one of the best with the boys ranging in age from 6 to almost 3 at the time that we will be going.

What is the first feeling that you have when you get to the parks? Mine is joy and a feeling of homecoming.

I think that the closer I get to the parks the younger my age becomes. By the time I get inside I might as well be 6 again because I feel the exact same enthusiasim as my kids...HEHE

To sum it all up: How can you not love something that gives off such radiance of joy to all that come into contact with it?

The sign language interpreters that take the spoken word into the most beautiful language I know. Between them and what I do hear without aids I now know all that the Disney Magic has to offer. And with hearing aids I will be able to do the same for others, although I doubt I will ever have the skill and grace some of them have.
