Why would one add on a small contract at another resort?

What is the benefit of adding on 25 points at another resort? If you have 200 points at SSR and then added on 25 points at BWV, for example, would you be able to make a ressie at the 11 month mark for as long as you wanted at BWV? Or only for enough days at that 25 points allowed you?

Help! I'm confused. I see so many people with small contracts and different resorts and I don't understand why one would do that.

No. You cannot apply SSR points to a BWV reservation until the 7 month point.

We have a 200 point contract at BWV and a 50 point contract at VWL. When we'd like to stay at VWL, we either bank and borrow to get 150 points, or use the BWV points for reservations at BWV, and then try to switch to VWL at the 7 month point. When we cannot switch, we stay at BWV -- which is actually a pretty decent consolation prize!

In your example, a 25 point BWV contract would, with banking and borrowing, give you 75 points every third year. You could use that to book hard to get ressies at the 11 month window at BWV, like standard view rooms for New Year's Eve, or Food and Wine.

50 points at VB allows for a few quick trips. Especially since I live in FL now.
