Why would I buy SSR resale at $81.00 pp

Hello again Veterans

Can anyone tell me why I would even consider a 150 point SSR contract at $80.00+ per point when you can buy from Disney almost the same.

I know if there are banked points this makes a difference but the majority of contracts I see do not have any banked points.

Just a bit confused.

If the $80/point turns out to be cheaper even after closing costs, then why not buy resale? There is no magic bullet for buying direct from Disney when the product is exactly the same. I'd say go for whichever costs you the least. If you are looking for more than 150 points, you can always add on direct from Disney once you are an official member.

You'd have to do the math on each resale to be sure, but I think you'd need to be $84+ for direct to actually be cheaper. However, if it was $83 and the difference was like $300, I'd certainly go direct, just because it's simpler and quicker.

Although I have to say I'd feel a LOT better about buying direct if my guide would RETURN MY CALLS about my darn add-on! Arggghhh!

resales can always be had cheaper than DVC sells if you look for the right deal............we have done it 7 times and always saved thousands over buying direct............my SSR resale came 9 months ago at 73 a point due to some ones unfortunate and unexpected divorce settlement...............

I wonder what the lowest anyone has paid for SSR is????

yes and it did it in about 5 weeks............it was a great deal.............the price and demand was not as great then as now.............
