I know what the Florida law is, but I don't agree with it. Some people, no matter how much they've had to drink, don't show the obvious signs of being drunk. Unless someone is obviously impaired - how and why should the bartender be the one to determine if someone has had too much? Also, if the club/bar is large enough and the people all blend into one and wander the club (being served by different people) who's keeping count of how many drinks a client has? This is a horrible tragedy which could have been avoided by only one person....and that was the young man himself. Unfortunately, the drinking obviously impaired his judgment, resulting in his death. You don't get do-over's after you're dead.
It's so tragic that this man didn't have any friends with him that were willing to face him down and wrestle his keys away from him. Sad, sad, sad.
