WHY does it seem like everyone and their grandma is going to WDW the week of Sept.19-26. I thought it would be a great week to go, but at this point ALL of the value resorts are sold out for that week, not to mention I just read that week is the fall break for GA. I am nervous that I chose the wrong week and that it's gonna be packed. The reason we pull our kids out of school in Sept. is to avoid the hudge crowds when kids are out of school. And it's now to late for me to switch to the only other week that we could go, which would be the week before(12-19) because the 90 day ADR date has already passed and I'm sure by this point all of our favorites are already gone... I am so bummed:sad2::sad2::sad2:

I'll be there then also 9/18-10/2, I'm not worried. Fall breaks happen every year and it's not busy. It's still going to feel like September, the only thing to avoid during that time would be when the F&WF begins, I wouldn't go after 4PM if you're looking to avoid crowds.

Was there last year during that same week, and the crowds were not bad at all. It was free dining, fall break, MNSSHP, and food and wine was just starting up; and with all of that, I would say the crowds were very low at the beginning of the week, and got progressively more busy toward the end of the week. The only ride that we found to have an unbearable wait time, and fast passes sold out was Toy Story Mania. They were posting a 120 min to 180 min wait time the entire day we were there. Needless to say, we skipped it! I would say the crowds were never more than moderate. It certainly will be nothing like it is in June, July, and Aug when school is still out for all of the country. I hope you can relax, and have a wonderful trip!! :thumbsup2

We are going 9/19 - 9/25 and I hope that being the "off season" things will be slow. Timing was a big part of why we booked when we did. I doubt that it will be ridiculous, but am not counting any chickens yet. Hope you have a good time!

You have made me feel a bit better. We are just use to going when wait times are only 20-30min tops. I know we sound spoiled, but we go in the off times for this very reason. I feel we are spending to much money to stand in one line for an hour...All in all I know we will make the best of what ever happens. We will after all be in WDW!!!!!

I think there must be a convention or sports competition at WDW that week and that's why the All-Stars are booked. September is NEVER packed, it's always empty; I bet if you check at some of the other resorts, they've got plenty of availability.

I went those dates last year...It was perfect ! the lines for rides and attractions were low....The restaurants were PACKED though! free dining and everyone needs to use their credits.

We are going for the first time in September...we traditionally go during summer or Christmas. We are hoping for smaller crowds. Touringplans has the busiest day as a 6, which we will take -- gladly!

:goodvibes

Why not just call Disney Dining as if you were going the 12th-19th, and see what you can book? I wouldn't be sure that all your favorites are gone; I was able to book a dinner at Kona Cafe for the 12th just this morning. Apparently free dining isn't getting as big a response as it has in the past.
You can see if you can get the places that would make you happy, or some reasonable combination of places, and then change your reservation if you're still so inclined?

We are going that week too. Here's to hapoing for low vrowds. But I will be in Disney so really that is all that matters!

We'll be there too! I'm just over the moon to finally be going back...and to be taking ds for his first visit.

We're going the 16th - 25th....we've been during that time before and the crowds are not too bad. Free dining means the restaurants can get pretty busy, but overall.....we've never been overwhelmed.

We are going to be there from the 10-19th and we have always gone in that time frame and the crowds are not bad at all. I think September is a great month to go. I would not worry at all. Just go with the flow and enjoy it.

We rescheduled our trip for that time period, so that is three less people. I hope that helps! ;)

It will be fine. Just have a plan. When we went in December we thought it would be quiet but it was crazy busy that week...we totally survived and had a great time.

Happy planning! :flower3:

We are starting our trip on the 22nd :) I think we all hoped it would be quiet. I have been in September twice and both times it wasn't bad at all, I am not too worried.

I just got off the phone and was able to book Pop Centruy for 9/20-9/25. There was also availability at All Star Sports. You may want to try again.
