Why We Don't Want Doctor's Notes

I have a question If you cant see in the dark and the ride is mainly dark how do you cope with seeing the actual ride? My son does not like dark rides so much and so he skipes this ride as its just too dark for him,Im guessing the whole ride would be very dark for you and was wondering what it was about the ride you like so much that you want to go on it again and again even with the problems you encounter with getting on the ride!

I personally have never had a problem being in the alternate entrance que all the way through and no one in my family is in a wheelchair, we just show them our Gac with the accomadation on it and we go on through,We have quite a few time been told by the other visitors that we are in the wrong que and that its ONLY for wheelchair users or disabled guests and we just smile and say we are where we are ment to be but thanks,"this isnt the only ride we have had this on,infact alot of the times we get your going the wrong way shouted at us and then god their stupid said loudly when we continue to stay in the que area we know we should be in" or we get WOW what did you have to have to be able to get that pass how does my family get one!!

As for your view on showing Doc letters we have to do this at EVERY theme park in the Uk or we get a huge argument on why we need the accomadations so its strange to many that you dont have to show anything in the US!
I hope that you dont keep getting the trouble at HM that you are having!
My eyes will go to where the light is. The ride is in the dark, but the areas to look at in the attraction are somewhat lite up. I do not have to "walk" when in there. If that were a walk thru house, I could not do it. Instead, you sit in the buggy and look from a distance. I cannot see directly in front of me. I cannot see to walk. If I am walking in a dimly lit room, my eyes are either looking down to the floor, then I don't see the person in front of me or I look straight ahead and I don't see what is below my eye level. if you do a search of my posts you will see where I posted I have fallen over someone in a wheelchair, they were below where I was able to see. I went into Ellen over at EPCOT. The movie was on.. my eyes went to the movie, I saw the movie but nothing around me. I feel right over a wheelchair. :sad2: So to answer your question, I can sit and look where the lights are. The other areas in there that aren't lit up well, I don't see what they are anymore. It use to be able to see the entire graveyard, not anymore, I can only see where something has a brighter light.. I still enjoy the attraction. I can see the dining room area perfect, I can see the area where the bride (and many grooms are fairly well). I want to continue to ride it while I can still see parts of it. My eyes will only get worse, so let me enjoy what I can while I can :sad2:

to update.. I went on the HM today, the stretching room CM's were great, let me skip it no problems, even opened the door for me to head out the hallway as I cannot find the handle. The CM at the outside door was great too, he guided me back inside. Once inside, that CM pointed to the merge area. I explained my situation, and he said "no, you must go this way". I explained again, that there is nothing for me to hold onto while the guests push and shove their way through. I gave him the two names again that I was told to give, he said, "don't know who they are, but I ain't gonna argue with you, just go that way" I told him I cannot. He said "fine, then go, but wait for the other CM to bring you down". I went to the rope back outside and waited. That CM was super. He guided me, walked backward to watch me get on the moving walkway to be sure I could get on without falling, and made sure I got into the buggy ok. It is amazing how just the one by the merge can be rude while the others aren't. And NO, I wasn't rude, wasn't nasty, I just merely explained to him I cannot see very well to merge into a dimly lit room where some guests push and shove when there is nothing for me to hold onto. If I could have seen better to get his name, I would have reported him. I was alone, something I swore I would never do.. but the last 2 days, the people I were with didn't want to do the HM. I didn't want to have another trip of not going on it. :sad2: So I braved it alone... this was the only attraction that gave me problems....
When I went to Fantasmic, they even walked me down with a flashlight!!!! :thumbsup2 and I had 3 others with me to help me (1 was only 7 but still could hold my hand).. they were super there that night!!!!!
