I think they're trying to make the official resort threads just informational and not as chatty as they once were.

I totally love the new thread! I hated having to search through all of the replies for specific information! I did notice that some of the links (room layouts, etc.) are not working though.

You are free to start a chatty thread on the community board. The other thread will remain in the sticky at the top of the resort board if you would like to refer to it.

I love to chit chat, but I do appreciate the change here! It will be very helpful to have these FAQ threads streamlined!

Let me be the first to express my displeasure in closing the original AKL thread. It will get lost/buried in the many new threads that are created every day. It was a fantastic thread to have and could have remained open while creating the new thread. Both could have co-existed, but that has been decided for us.

That thread will live on as long as the DIS is around. The link for that thread is still in the sticky at the top of the resorts board. It won't get lost, you just need to look in a different place to get the link.

I'm glad the other thread closed...It became a clique, with very little useful information anymore. In the beginning, there were great posts, with pictures, etc. about the best rooms, savannahs, etc. Now, it was people in the clique, talking back and forth, etc. I posted a couple of different questions that never really got answered and the thread was not really useful for information anymore.
