Just curious, why the changed the visual when you begin to fly up into the castle. It used to look like part of the building. Now, it is a green spiral visual effect at the beginning and ending of the ride. Just wondering if there is some back story to the change.

We noticed that when we were there in early Nov. When we asked about it, the CM said they changed it because flying through the chimney version was making too many people nauseous and the new green cloudy spiraling effect didn't seem to effect so many people with motion sickness.:confused3

The first time I rode the ride, I was sick immediately because of those bricks. I'm glad they changed it.

I had been so excited to ride and as soon as it started I got nauseous. It was disappointing.

After that I closed my eyes during that part and made sure I had taken my bonine.

While I do agree it made me more queasy, I actually am upset they changed it. The green effect is so stationary and goes on for too long in the beginning of the ride. I'm sure its no biggie if you've never rode it before, but it actually makes the opening lose a little bit of the luster of flying for the first time. pixiedust:

While I liked the bricks, I do think that the new green effect is more in line with what traveling by floo powder is "supposed" to look/feel like!
