Why The High Rates At Dolphin 4/8-4/9

Just checked the dolphin for a weekend 4/8-4/9 05 and the resort view was $364.00 . It's after easter, am I forgetting something that is happening at this time with the high rates is it going to be mobbed . I was hoping someone might have some insight on the difference seems to be $70.00 more than normal for this time of year.

I would say a conference is in town. The same thing is happening to me in June, 3 nights of my stay a M-W is 334 with the others a ent. rate of 224.5 for resort with balcony

Do conferences have that type of effect on rates, do they charge more ???
anybody else have any ideas on what is causing this is this a busy time?? would it be better to go another weekend???

I've heard that conferences definitely cause high prices. We had planned on staying at the D&S in late March and couldn't believe it when the WL was less expensive. So this trip will be at the WL. I hope they return to lower prices.

The more full (of conference attendees, etc) the hotel is, the less discounted rooms are offered. Example = why offer good discounts if you are already 90% booked?

April is usually spring break for East Coast school districts. Some state will be out every week of the month.
