HI

Just wondering if anyone else who has been to the french quarter ever wonders why they don't put in another pool. With the riverside having main pool and quiet pools I think they call them, it would be nice to have a choice.

Because the resort is just not that big (would be my guess).

Riverside has close to 5,000 rooms while FQ only has about 1,100.

I didn't realize that POR has 5000 rooms - I thought I read somewhere there were 2000. Oh my, this really is a big resort. Now I'm getting nervous, that seems REALLY big.

Actually POR has 2048 room while POFQ has 1008. POR is more spread out on the property where POFQ is a smaller sized resort and all rooms are close to the one pool. There is a hottub and a small kiddie pool at POFQ too. The "Smallness" of the resort really doesn't make the need for a quiet pool. I found it was quiet all the time.

According to allears.net POR Riverside only has 2048 rooms. you could find a lot of information on the resort under accomidations fact sheet as well as a map of the resort. They are the second largest moderate after CBR. Hope that helps.

As mentioned, POR has double the rooms but something to keep in mind ... no matter which you choose (POR or FQ) because they are sister resorts , you are allowed to use the pools at ammennities at both...so technically, you do have a choice... the Dabloon Lagoon pool at FQ or Ol'Man Island pool (or any of the quiet pools) at POR.:teeth:
