Why the extended hours in late May?

Hi all,

We have been to DL in May before, but usually the beginning of May. The hours are always short and we don't mind as we like the low crowds.

We have a trip planned for May 23 - 26 this year as it is our 25th wedding anniversary on the 24th. I just checked the hours for our trip (they only have the 24th up so far) and the hours at DL have been extended from the previous weeks.

Anyone know why? Is something going on there that week? I know the next week is Memorial Day, so expect extended hours then, but why for the week before? Or is this just the type of hours they always have the last few weeks of May?

Looking at the historical hours, it does seem like the week we are going usually has hours of 9 - 9 instead of our "normal" 10 -8, but this year they have extended them even more - 9 - 10.....not sure why, but I guess we'll expect bigger crowds than we are used to....we'll still have a great time, I know

Not sure but I think I read that Fantasmic! reopens on May 27th. Maybe they will do some soft openings to get ready for the summer crowds?
