Why so many Le Cellier lovers?

I think it's popular for several reasons

1. It's about the only good ole steak place in WS.
2. As Steak places go, It's a Tweener. It has a couple pricy items that are better than Concourse. But not as much as yachtsman's (which is pricier still)
So it's a really good steak at a decent price. But one can eat lunch there fairly reasonably and it has a good lunch menu.
3. But now we get to the heart of what I think has contributed to its booming popularity. The Meal Plan. Suddenly it's no longer pricier than Concourse (Both are one credit) and it's half the price of Yachtsman's (two credits)

The food is GREAT quality for the price. We LOVE the prtzel bread, soup, steaks and the cobbler is to die for! We can't wait to go back. All of our jkids love it also, they are very kid friendly!

Of course, I could eat a raw moose after spending all day at Disneyworld. You work up such an appetite!
Speaking of moose, the Chocolate Moose (not a typo, that's really how they spell it) on the kids' menu is adorable and oh-so-yummy! My DD loves it. I love the Mushroom Risotto Filet Mignon, although I will admit that it's not the most tender filet I've ever had. I think it's delicious anyway! Le Cellier is one of our must-do restaurants whenever we go to Epcot.

I'm not sure why there are so many Le Cellier lovers. I've been three times. The lobster was fine. The famous cheese soup was inedibly salty the only two times I tried it. (Seriously -- chapped my lips, it was so salty. Ow!) I had a simply terrible salad there once. But the service was always really nice. (They didn't make me pay for the cooked salad, for instance.) Ooo, and dessert was good.

I just keep thinking it's me. Everyone else loves Le Cellier. OK, then, they won't have to fight me for ADR's! There. We're all happy!

Main reason: Many Americans are meat and potatoes lovers and not adventurous enough to try some of the other restaurants in WS.

With so many places to eat and so little time I would not eat here. You can find great steaks back home anytime.

Love this restaurant! Between the steaks, cheese soup, pretzle bread, and maple creme brulee...sigh. Yeah. There's no way we'd miss this on our trips!

We liked the dark atmosphere and the food was good, but not great. The Cheese Soup was very good but a bit rich, I thought. I had a better Filet Mignon at The Concourse and the Maple Creme Brulee was a tad too sweet for me. Not bad, but not outstanding. Of all the Epcot restaurants we tried, we enjoyed Marrakesh the best.

Can't imagine going to WDW without Cheese Soup and breadstickes. YUMMY!!!!

We were there in Oct. '05 although we thought it was good, we too weren't that impressed with it. I'd give it a try and see for yourself. I know with me when I read these rave reviews I really expect something spectacular and then I get there and it's just well normal good, then I feel kinda let down.

Not only best dinner of vacation, but best family dinner ever.

Sigh. Filet mignon. sigh. Chocolate mousse. sigh sigh. creme brulee. sigh sigh. cheese sampler. sigh sigh sigh.

OK - need to add that this is a steak joint. Although I love the steak here (which could compete with some of the finer steak restaurants around) this is not a place to order seafood. Although it will be ok, if you know your seafood, you will be disappointed. I wouldn't order a steak at a famous seafood place either. By the way, I don't think that WDW is a place for seafood in general. I know I will make some huffy with this comment, but I have never had good seafood in Florida. They dont know what to do with it...for God sake, they boil hard crabs and don't steam them! Whenever I ordered fish at WDW it was super over cooked. If you aren't planning on ordering a nice rare steak or filet, I would not go here.

While I tend to agree with you about the fish, I had a wonderful Pan Fried Grouper at The Brown Derby.
