I'm trying to understand why people are so freaked out about making ADRs. I've been reading this board for a while, so I assumed I'd have a tough time making ADRs if I didn't get them right on the 90-day mark. I left it to MIL to make the reservations, but she dropped the ball and so I didn't get around to doing it until about 65 days out. Since then, I've made 7 or 8 reservations and called 3 times to "tweak" those reservations when I've changed my mind about where/when I wanted to be certain places. I've had absolutely no problems with getting reservations for the times/days I was interested in.
Have I just had extremely good luck, or are people overreacting a bit? I'm just curious because my experience has been very positive. We're going in mid-July.
Just curious and would love some feedback.

There are certain restaurants that are just really difficult to get ADRs for. If you want one of those places at a certain time then you need to plan to make your ADRs in advance so you won't be disappointed. For some of us the planning is as much fun as going so I think the excitment is seen as freaking out!
