We are doing Free dining...we have 3 day park hoppers for 2 adults, and a room at All star sports for 4 nights.

The gate price for hoppers is 264.12 x 2 adults = 528.24
The total for our entire trip is 901.

That only leaves 373 for the room for 4 nights. Which is like 93 a night. I thought the free dining was for paying the 'rack rate' of like 150 a night?!

I'm not complaining but DANG, this is a good deal! I've checked the ressie over and over trying to find out why it's so cheap!

Rooms at POP are cheap at that time, around $89/night if memory serves. Your qoute seems to be spot on..

If I understand correctly 94$ a night IS the rack rate for the value resorts ;) . 150 or so is for the moderates.

From the DIS room rate website:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/disney-rates-2008.htm

Value rooms are $82 rack rate during value season so with the resort taxes you will pay you will pay about $93 a night plus you get all those FREE meals!

Enjoy!

93 plus free meals is INSANE. If we could find even 1 more adult to go- it would be like DW was PAYING US to come visit! :cool1:

Thanks for the info! I just presumed that the free DDP people would have to pay July rates or something in order to get the free food too.

I believe the dining plan is based on only 2 adults per room.

You've got a good deal. Only downside is it's gonna be hotter than a pistol there in Aug/Sept.

Speaking from experience, keep your flluid intake up.

I got quotes for 3 and 4 adults in a room too for the free DDP in case we could find 1 or 2 more people to go. They actually do allow 4 adults in a value room with free DDP.

just hush and enjoy it :lmao: though it does seem to good to be true doesn't it? its a main reason why we are going! PLUS with the free dinning we're able to eat at places that we would never ever noramlly be able to afford. Maybe ONE of the restaurants per visit, but not all of them. and who says dreams can't come true....Oh Disney, you have pulled through once again! :thumbsup2

We have FD this year planned for Pop with four adults and an infant- in one room. We are paying an add'l $10 per night for the third/fourth adult but they also get FD. We're hoping we don't kill each other by the time the trip is over but we're all family ( myself and 2 grown children, one spouse and their infant ) and I guess nerves can be soothed over a nice dinner....right? We have a trip coming up next week in a concierge one bedroom DVC villa but we'll make do on the Sept. trip with economy accommodations. I figure it's $102 per night plus tax including the additional adults, FD for all- can't beat it! :-)---Kathy

I seem to remember for our Thanksgiving trip a few years back we got a package with 10 day NE tickets. When I subtracted the price of the tickets from the total it worked out that we were paying like $25 per night to stay at Pop Century.

My kids are considered adults on the dining plan so that was 4 adults free on the dining plan last year when we paid 84 a night to stay at pop and then upgraded to SSR at no extra charge.

Yep!

I like the strategy of going when the DDP is free and staying at the Value - then using the savings and the bounceback offer to stay in a Deluxe when dining isn't free - but you can get deeper room discounts. :thumbsup2
