Why shouldn't we?

We are planning a gala super-duper trip for summer of 2007 which will be attended by my 2 granddaughters (who are not twins) and both will be 2 1/2, my niece who will be 8 thus getting a childs ticket, and three or four adult women-2 normal appetite women, and one gastric bypass woman and the young woman I'm not sure about eats like a horse. I am convinced that at this point--before the babies need tickets and are free to eat off our plates--this makes such good sense. Also my niece is extremely picky and will not eat much. Since we plan to do as many character meals as possible doesn't this seem like we are destined to be on the dining plan? It even seems like it would be stupid not to do it, doesn't it. What can I say to convince my husband that I am right?

SHOW ME THE MONEY! Price out normal meals and character meals and show him the comparison.

Keep in mind that the DDP INCLUDES tax and tip. All of the kids prices for character meals for the 8 y/o are more than $10.99, PLUS tax and tip, and all of the adult character meals will be about the food portion of your daily DDP cost. Throw in a few nice restaurants, and the DDP will save you money, even without factoring in the CSs and snacks.

Definetly show him the prices and how much you could potentially save. I think you get more bang for the money if you do more non-character buffets. Our meals at Concourse Steakhouse and Coral Reef topped out in the $150 - $170.00 range for a family of four (but one was a toddler not on the dining plan). We only did one character meal.
