Why should I buy my tickets early?

We are going in March and will need 8 day PH passes. I priced Undercover Tourist and Mapleleaf Tickets and neither have 8 day passes. They have 10 day park hoppers for about $270. The Disney website has 8 day PH passes for $250. To get the non-expiring would cost a lot more and since we are only there 8 days counting arrival and departure days I have no use for 10 day passes. I know lots of you buy your tickets from these vendors and they are cheaper if they have what I want but I can't see the advantage for me. Also, I want to get my tickets at the resort so I can have them put on my room key then I'll only have one thing to keep up with. Am I missing something?

Just a thought - does the Disney site include tax and shipping in the price you're using to compare?

First I would check about tax and shipping. Disney doesn't include it.

Second, you can add tickets purchased from another vendor to your room key. You just need to ask at your resort.

Unless she has the tickets sent to her, she won't need to pay shipping, but do add in the tax when considering the entire price. Sounded like she was just going to get them at the resort when she checked in?

Disney's "advance purchase" price for 1 Adult 8 day hopper is actually $266.25 with tax. The website says that it's $7.00 more if you wait to buy them at the gate.

Ticketmania does have the 8 day hopper tickets. Their price is $255.00 tax included with free shipping.

Thanks for the replies. I could not get into Ticket Mania before so didn't get to check them. They do have the 8 day hoppers I need. I wondered why no one had those. It would only be $255 with free standard shipping.

Now, someone said I could put these tickets on my room key. Is that true? Has anyone done this?

I've put my tix on my room key last year. I actually did it twice since we switched resorts mid way through.

We just gave them the tix and they put the admission on. We requested a reciept just in case, and they gave us one, no problem.

Not every CM necessarily knows how to do it, so if yours doesn't, see a different one.

I just looked into Ticketmania for you and they have 8 day ph tickets I didn't look at the price though you may want to look there. Its worth a try..
