Why September At WDW Is The Best

Funny I was just saying how the only time I will head to Orlando unless it's a quick day trip is the winter. Way way to hot right now. We are FL AP holders and don't go except from Nov-March except for maybe one day at a water park. You literally could not pay me to go to Disney durning the Summer(Sept is summer if your a Floridian lol)

Well, if you choice was to go in summer or not ever go at all it would sort of make your choice easier. We are coming from TN and our weather is pretty much just as hot and humid as FL, with daily pop up showers. We'll be ok

My wife and I will be there this September, for our first-ever September trip. We're pretty excited.

Looks like us, the OP and Altoqueenkelly will be there at the same time. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.

The end of September is usually our go time. We love this time of the year and with the free dining promo to boot:cool1::cool1:

Possibly going Sept 16-24.....still undecided, but I do know DW does not enjoy the heat and especially humidity. It will be just the 2 of us, so we'll be able to stay out late and sleep in - so more relaxed pace for sure

Woot   Woot

Before kids in school, we liked arriving on Labor Day. Most US kids are in school. I think more parents are willing for their kid to miss a day of school during or at the end of the school year, but not at the beginning.

The crowds were very low!

Enjoy!

I lived in Nashville for a short while (Vanderbilt Uni for my first year intern/res). I would argue the temp is equal but the humidity in FL is much worse again, just my opinion. If it was WDW in the summer or no WDW, I would choose the later again just my opinion.

Our first trip to WDW was last year starting on July 4th! I wasn't really bothered by the humidity. I kinda enjoyed the change from our dry heat in CA. This year going in September and from what I've read it will be a great time to go. Can't wait! :yay:

We will be there Sept 9-19. Fortunately for us we are homeschoolers so that gives us a little more flexibility. We will be starting school mid-August so this vacation will be my DD's "fall break".

Forgot about F&W. We will be just missing it this year.:sad1:

This will be our first September trip and we can't wait! We usually do April/May and are looking forward to a bit more heat .....

September is awesome, unfortunately many cannot swing it due to that darn school starting up! Loved it when the kids were young and not in school yet.

You will be begging for air conditioning by 930am. You'll love it.

Hopefully you never have to make the choice

We love September and have only melted once. At a Halloween Party. I think it was more the costumes than the heat. We usually go the last week of September into the first week of October. We go early and take our time. Stop in somewhere for a drink or a show if we get hot and then move on. The parks are not open late so we always have time for a swim or the hot tub after the parks and staying at a Mod or Deluxe we can always enjoy a nice cool drink in the lounge before bed.

The only rides we need fast passes for are of course Toy Story Mania and Soarin'. In fact I think the longest line we waited in last year was for the ever popular Dole Whip at the Magic Kingdom. I have been there in November, December, July, February, January and May. Never again will I go any time but September. Unless I move there. Then I will go every day that I am not working.

We've never found the September heat to be unbearable...July? Just awful. But September was marvelous.

As a Floridian, I've often wondered why people would spend actual money to come down to Florida in September.

We have always gone mid-December. We are going late September to early October this time. We are looking forward to F&W, just hoping heat isn't too bad by then! 101 days!
