Why opening hours for Oct. so random?

On disneyland's website the opening hours posted for both parks is all over the place. Some days it's 8am, 9am or 10am. It doesn't correspond to the weekends verse the weekdays either.

I can't tell if it has anything to do with the Halloween parties. Do they open earlier on those days to give regular guests more time in the parks since they can't stay as late?

I thought in fall they normally opened at 10am. We are going in early Nov. and now I have no idea what to expect - and I just planned everything around 10am openings.

DL does open at 8 on Halloween party days.

Don't know about the 9am opening.

I think it has to do with the Halloween parties, plus some special events. For example, on the day of the CHOC walk - Oct. 14 - the parks don't open until 10, even though it's a Sunday. They are waiting for all the walkers to clear the park. Plus they open early on the days of the Halloween parties, etc. All the special events around the holidays always make the hours a little weird.

So can we expect it will go into the normal 10am - 8pm schedule in early Nov. when all the Halloween parties are done?

I was thinking how random the hours were too. I understood the 8am opening for the party days but it is 8am at both parks (not just DL).
