It seems the reward offers are totally random and I'm never in the mix. While others got offered extra days, better rates, discounts and now triple points on purchases at worldofdisney.com, I get nothing. I don't understand why. Does anyone understand any rhyme or reason to the offers or have any ideas on how I can be included. I feel like the last kid on the field in gym class when the captains picked teams.

I have not once been offered the double or triple points either, but when I signed up, I got 6 months of no interest! That was a nice one!

I believe everyone was given the opportunity to do the Princess Court show in Manhattan

Make sure your information is updated on their website.Add the address to your address book so it doesn't get bulked or spammed (address is disneyrewards@disneycreditcard.com)

While I haven't ever gotten any travel discounts (which I'd love by the way) I did just get the email concerning the opening of world of disney in nyc and the triple points. I also got the double reward point offer from march through june this year but that initially came in my statement. I then got a postcard "reminding" me of the offer - WHAT OFFER? well I went back and checked my statement and there it was.

I now check all items that come with my statement and the statement itself quite thoroughly. Also, read the disney rewards mailing that comes quarterly.

hi y'all!

I just looked at the worldofdisney.com website.
Does anyone know if we will be able to purchase from the store online after it opens?

thanks!

I got a special offer for double points..IF I spend over $2300 a month on household expenses (excluding travel, etc.)

$2300 wow!!!

since you're also in North Texas, do you know if TXU - and other utilities up here let you charge to Visa?

How will you do it???

Have a super-sized Texas day! Yeeha!!!

i only have to spend $650 a month to get the double rewards for the year. I don't understand how they calculate thendifferent amounts for different people. It doesn't make sense, because I generally charge an average of $2000 a month on my Disney Visa, so I'd think they'd try to make me spend more by upping my double rewards amount.

I got the "if you spend $XXX dollars a month" you'll get double points. But I didn't get the triple points at the new WOD store. I guess they figure since I'm in NY, I'll be there every other week or so, and they won't want to give me all those points!!!

another reason why I wont ever get a Disney Visa, my luck I'd get nothing!

I'll stay with my cards that have rewards that are the same for everyone!....

This is the same offer I got. So generous of them. But, I did not get the card for the special offers, so I am not complaining.

Almost all reward cards have different tiers for different spenders. But because there aren't message boards like this for everything, we're always not aware of it. For instance, the Discover card gives you more Cashback bonus IF you sign up for certain offers. (April-June was supermarket shopping, now it's dining out.) If you ignore their mailings or don't go to the website, you're not aware and you're left out.

I just got a postcard reminding me about double rewards on my Bank One Amazon.com Visa. It seems like the less you use the card, the more likely you are to get the offer (I stopped using the amazon.com Visa when I got the Disney Visa).

From reading another thread, it looks like the worldofdisney.com offer was geared to people in the Eastern states.

I didn't get the World of disney offer either!!! And since I have 5 girls and live in the NY area, I woould have given my right arm for the princess show tickets!!!! This is NOT something we will be able to afford otherwise. I spent a lot of time on the phone with disney and with bank one trying to get that offer and got nowhere. It was definitely NOT offered to everyone!

Disney VISA skunked me too. I was supposed to receive something, but they didn't come through.

I think it's time to cancel. They need me far more than I need them!

After our next trip, I think I'll quit using it. We always need airline tickets but have never gotten an airline miles card. Maybe that will be our next card. The DV is in my name though, so I'll keep it open for my own credit history.

I'm fairly new to Disney Visa and have not gotten any of the double/triple offers yet.

I've also heard NOTHING about the World of Disney offer. I only found out here.

How were others notified??

Thanks

I can answer your question about utilities...yes, TXU takes credit card payments, so does city of Fort Worth water dept., SWbell, Charter Cable & Internet. I pay all mine that way. All of them have online bill paying, but I think that you can pay everything but the water bill over the phone with the credit card.

FYI: I took a shot, called World of Disney again yesterday (thursday), and got in for the 2:15 on Saturday October 2nd. This is totally thanks to this board, because I never got the offer in any other form!!!!princess:

I have never received anything about double or triple points either.
Man I feel like I am missing out.

their offers are very inconsistent and really exclude too many. Overall I am unhappy with the way they do things--we are part of the $2500 club with DH's for double points through 6/2005. Will we ever hit it--no we spend about 1800-2000 per month and pay off the entire balance--my grocery store shows up as other so no double points there--gotta love that store with supermarket in the title and still considered other! My own Disney Visa--which I only opened because of the free 50 never gets any offers worth a second look! DH's theory is that they already gave me $50 so they are not going to give me anything for a while and that the incentive os to get you to charge more than you usually do which may result in overspending and requiring a person to keep a blaance--they make money so you get a tiny kickback. In any event not worth working to get myself in debt for a few extra points. I dont' know why they can't be more consistant with offers--I really miss teh DC at least we all received the same offers, discounts and extras!
