YAY you've arrived!!![]()
It's about time, right?
I'm soooo looking forward to hearing all about oour trip and of course seeing all your beautiful pictures!![]()
I took a ton of pictures, but I really put the emphasis on taking pictures of things I haven't taken yet. That might help explain the 130 Osbourne light pictures. This is the first time I used my new camera to take those pictures. I also took a lot of pictures inside attractions, many with my cell. And, of course, no flash!
Hey, the painting that I thought was real life on FB!!
It's cool, isn't it? The whole mural was really neat and I regret that I never went back and took a picture of the whole thing.
Glad to see you've started the next leg of this TR!! It is funny when you compare how other places do decorations as opposed to Disney (or the surrounding Disney area, I guess!)
There really is so much attention to detail and I think all the resorts look so darn festive with their Christmas decorations. I love that!
Hurray for the start of your Christmas quickie!!!![]()

Yeah, packing for the entire family (well, two of your three boys) and having to close up the house would slow a person down. Glad you got everything done and to the airport on time without forgetting anything (except the coffee filters ).
Those darn coffee filters.

I was totally in slow mo. I don't know what my problem was, but organizational skills were not their sharpest that morning.
Denny cracks me up with his GPS panic. Like you couldn't find your way around the resort blindfolded at this point the number of times you have been!
Seriously, right? Denny is addicted to his GPS. It's really sad. And he knows that it doesn't work in the parking garage so why the panic????

Yeay for the start of Christmas merchandise pictures -- those salt and pepper shakers are adorable!
They had tons of cute Christmas things. SOOOOOOOOO many things I wanted. So many!
Hurrah! You started!Sounds like it was a hectic day leading up to the flight but there's just nothing like that "D day" excitement. Not sure Denny & Nick were feeling it based on their pictures.

Yeah - they really don't look all that excited, do they? But they both had a great time and at the end of the trip Nick thanked me for planning everything. He definitely had a good time. So, they are definitely feeling the love in some of their later pictures.

Glad you arrived safe and sound and got a good room location. There are lots of very passionate OKW lovers out there. I stayed there ~5 years ago and loved it.
Loved the room location and I really enjoyed OKW. It would be a perfect place for a non park trip. I got the feeling there were a lot of people there just chillin at the resort. I would definitely stay there again and I bet the 2BR villa is huge!
Looking forward to hearing more!![]()
Hopefully more this weekend!
You are so right about D Day excitement! I'm not a morning person, and never have been, but the last three times I've gone to WDW it has been on the first or second flight of the day. Can't seem to bear the thought that I could have been there earlier if I'd just woken up!![]()
Going early in the morning does maximize your day, that's for sure. I used to do the first flight of the morning thing, but then it got harder and harder for me to sleep at night. I'd still be awake at 2am when I had to get up at 4am. That's not a good thing for me. When I leave a bit later it takes away that pressure of "having" to go to sleep.
I'm not a coffee drinker so I'm confused. I thought they put filters in the room? I know with DVC you don't get new ones every day, is that why you needed to get some?
They put a premade filter/coffee packet in there, but you only get one and its not the greatest coffee. So, yup, that's why you need to bring your own - because its not a regular resort room.
Love the start of the trip! Doesn't it feel like you were just leaving? How is it that we're back home and the trip is over...
Yes - OMG - I mopped around for a week when I got back. I swear - all I wanted to do was turn around and go back. Darn short trips.

Woo hooo for D Day!! I know just what you mean about the excitement and nervousness! I agree that packing more a girls trip is much, much easier then a family trip!! But, of course, I have still have to worry about getting everything ready for the little ones!
Packing is much easier for a girls trip and since my kids are self sufficient I don't have to do much other than make sure Nick has enough school uniforms for the week.
I love D Day!!!!! Best day EVER!
Can't wait for more!
Hopefully more is coming this weekend!!!!

Oh Mary Ellen! I am totallyat all of this. I know EXACTLY what you mean about not being able to get out of your own way. I do the same thing and my KIDS pull Nick's routine everytime.
I just kept bumping into myself at every turn.

And Nick - that is a big reason why I couldn't let him drive to school. I knew I would be pacing the floor waiting for him to get home. He is the world's biggest procrastinator. ugh! But I still

I AM packing filters for Oct.![]()

What do you think about those Starbuck's Via things that Glen mentioned? Have you tried them. I'm sort of curious now.
Hot tub before bed after a long nighttime journey sounds a great way to relax and be able to actually get to sleep and major bonus that you didn't go to be thinking "I have to get up and buy filters first thing!"

That hot tub was awesome. Really one of my favs. It was nice and big and never crowded. Loved it!!!
Oh yeah - I didn't feel like tearing about the coffee packet in the room again and you know I must have coffee the second I get up!
