Why Not Just Queue Up Another Disney Trip? Link to New TR 6/24 p136!

I figured I wold tack on a little life update.....

I was hoping to have this part of the TR done before Disney, but it's not going to happen. I do hope to get one more update in before we leave.

Tomorrow we have to drive to Salisbury to leave Brian a car so he can get home next Friday. We have to start bringing some of his belongings home with us.

Sunday night I sing at the candle lighting service for compassionate friends. I ran the songs this evening and will run them until I can't stand them all Sunday afternoon. It's a tough, tough service, but I'll do my best. This year I am doing "Gone Too Soon" by Michael Jackson and "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion. I totally reworked both songs so I can do an acoustic version and I like the way they sound. There are three other things I have to sing. Wish me luck. :upsidedow

I had a banner day shopping at Kohl's the other day. For $98 I scored the following:

5 chaps summer shirts
1 chaps summer blouse
2 pairs of shoes - clogs and a pair of boots
1 pair of running shorts
4 Nike T-shirts for my nephews
1 polo for Denny
1 pair of shorts for Denny
1 hat for Nick (he loves those ski hats with the hanging things down the side.

I had a 20% off coupon and a $25 gift card, so that was my total expenditure. Oh yeah - I got $20 of Kohl's cash that I need to spend before we leave.

Sorry that I am getting behind on other people's TRs. I will try to catch up ASAP.

Oh yeah - I almost forgot - I can make ADRs tomorrow for my June trip - I am so not prepared!

So far I have to agree with your assessment of Charleston! I love places like this. I also love those old cemetaries, the on Cape Cod are so neat. When you get back to Williamsburg be sure to check out the Brutan Parish cemetary.

I know waht you mean about Kohl's. I went there on Thursday & bought a blouse, velvet jacket,& slacks for less than what the jacket originally cost. All o fthe clothes were Chaps, that is about all that I buy at Kohl's. I also like the American Living brand at Penney's. Plus I got the $20 coupon also.

I can't believe that it's almost time for your trip! I know that I would be going crazy about now.

Why does that name sound so familiar? Did I take a picture of the church? I must have. How quickly I forgot the things I see. :rotfl:

Charleston was so beautiful. While Savannah was eclectic, Charleston was so fined. Like a good bottle of wine, aged to perfection.

Kohl's used to be an addiction for me! Seriously, I had to stop going for awhile because I was becoming an extreme bargain hunter. I would go in every time I got a 20 or 30 % off, I wouldn't just go to one Kohls - I would go to 4 different ones! :rotfl:

I can't believe that it's almost time for your trip! I know that I would be going crazy about now.

I am a little stressed right now, but what's done is done and what isn't can wait. I'm going with the flow!

Charleston is absolutely beautiful -- and, as always, so are your pictures.

The church is lovly.

What great deals you got at Kohl's...it has become a new favorite store of mine. And the hat Nick wanted...they are ALL wearing them.

UGH! My computer is wiggin out- the whole resply was erased! Let me start again-

Your pics of Charleston are gorgeous MEK- I can see why everyone wants to visit there! I love the idea of taking that boat up the coast- sounds like a great day!

I am SOOO glad you went kayaking- absolutely one of my favorite things to do on HHI- there is always so much to see. We have always had that same tour guide- I have kayaked with him 3 times now. You're right, he is easy on the eyes, and he is very chatty. :goodvibes But I like to hear what he has to say, so it never has bothered me.

Dottie IS so pretty- and she is so sweet. I miss her, but I'm glad you went by to say hello. Here's a pic of us from a few years ago out to dinner-

Both she and her DH Joe are alot of fun. You are really making me miss them and HHI!!!

I am sure there was more I wanted to say, but I have no idea- I am STILL sick since right after my birthday, and I think it's time for bed.

Good luck with your ADRs tomorrow!

Oh! I know! Alligator Grille! They have EXCELLENT scallops- next time, ME!!:goodvibes

I haven't seen one of these in awhile....a LONG while

What about the ones in Epcot????

Wow, Charleston really is beautiful! How fun must it be to live in a place like that!

Good luck at the candle lighting service! I'm sure you're going to do wonderfully!

Great job at Kohls!!!! :thumbsup2 I love shopping there, but I HATE shopping in crowds, and well, that's ALL Kohls is now around here, so I kind of avoid it. And thus miss out on the awesome bargains!

.

It is an absolutely gorgeous city. So very southern with a sophisticated flare. After visiting it I am certain I was meant to be a southerner. the stork just dropped me in the wrong place. :rotfl:

I am particularly pleased with my pictures of Charleston, but with such great subject matter how could they not be good?

The church is lovly.

Everywhere we turned there was another church. Are there more churches in the south than up north?

Like I said to Doris, I have become somewhat of a Kohl's addict. I am trying to break the addiction, but this last shopping trip only reinforced it.

I hate that and it happens to me all the time. The other night my safari kept closing in the middle of posts. ugh!

You and pods MUST visit Charleston. You would love it. I can't wait to go back. I have my eye on Fall 2013 with Denny. I think I would like to stay a night in Charleston before heading over to HHI. I found a Hampton Inn that was right on the edge of the historic district and very close to Hyman's. It looks like it would be a great location for walking everywhere. I want to go back and see the Boone Hall Plantation and go out to the fort.

I loved the kayaking. I will definitely do it again. I think I only was bothered by his chatting when he was talking college baseball for what seemed like forever with another costumer. When he finished that everything else he had to say was very interesting and I learned a lot.

Dottie IS so pretty- and she is so sweet. I miss her, but I'm glad you went by to say hello. Here's a pic of us from a few years ago out to dinner-

That's a lovely picture of her. I am sorry mine turned out so badly. I also wish I would have had more time to chat with her. So glad you told me to be on the look out for her. I love meeting new people. She's a sweetheart. :lovestruc

I am sure there was more I wanted to say, but I have no idea- I am STILL sick since right after my birthday, and I think it's time for bed.

Sorry you got sick! Hope you are feeling better. That stinks!

Is it wrong that I just don't feel like making ADRs today, but I'd really like to watch the kids so my Bro and SIL can eat at LeCellier.

Oh! I know! Alligator Grille! They have EXCELLENT scallops- next time, ME!!:goodvibes

Good to know! :thumbsup2 I'll be hitting you up again before we go back to get all your latest recommendations.

What about the ones in Epcot????

True, very true. I didn't consider those - of course, they ARE in red booths so they don't count.

Wow, Charleston really is beautiful! How fun must it be to live in a place like that!

Seriously! I know. It's just beautiful and I can only dream of what it would be like to have one of those old houses. I would love it!

Good luck at the candle lighting service! I'm sure you're going to do wonderfully!

Thanks! I think as long as I can keep the nerves under control and stay detached from the actual ceremony, I will do OK. It is so freaking emotional, but its so genuine. The people there have experienced every parents worst night mare, yet they are incredibly close and seem to have risen to a whole never level of awareness. I can't quite describe what its like and this is only my second time doing it. I feel fortunate that they invited me to come back.

Great job at Kohls!!!! :thumbsup2 I love shopping there, but I HATE shopping in crowds, and well, that's ALL Kohls is now around here, so I kind of avoid it. And thus miss out on the awesome bargains!

I hear ya! I had off on Wednesday and it was POURING here, so the store was pretty empty. Plus its a newer Kohls with HUGE dressing rooms and they really don't monitor how much stuff you take in, so it worked out fine.

People get wrapped up in the frenzy of Kohls, but there regular sale stuff is what the article should cost anyway and truth is, a lot of the stuff they sell is NOT the greatest quality. So I have to be really selective when I shop there. I keep hearing Stacy and Clinton in my head saying, "there's a REASON its on the discount rack". :rotfl: Still - I love ripping the tags off of new summer shirts when I go to Disney.

Oh Mary Ellen, such gorgeous pictures!! The inside of that church is upreal with the dome and the stained glass! And the gardens! I've never been there, but Charleston is definitely on my list of places to live. The job market down there for biologists is unreal because of the harbor and where all the govt agencies are located. Plus, the fishing is a major factor for Blake! And the housing prices! Ah, someday!

Oh gosh I LOVE Kohl's! They just built us one here in Easton, and I totally wracked up for Christmas! I think we saved $124 on the saturday after Black Friday. Everything was 55% off, plus an extra 15% on some plus my mom had an extra 15% off coupon, AND we got Kohl's cash. So when Blake and I went back, I remembered I had 2 promotional $10 gift cards, and the $15 Kohl's cash, so we finished our Christmas shopping for free!

You got some GREAT stuff for everyone!! Cya in Disney soon! :thumbsup2

Another great tour. Great job on Charleston. I visited once with the family over Thanksgiving and it was nice but I am sure we were stressed out. I need to go back to really enjoy it.

I will try to be sure to check in but incase I don't have a magical trip and shortly after you come back I get to go!:cool1:

Well, I so no reason then for you to NOT relocate. :rotfl: Nah - I know it hard when you live near your parents. That's a big reason why I never pursued relocation, but now I think Charleston is #1 on my list for relocation. It's beating out Florida. Plus I think my pictures here are some of my best ever. :thumbsup2

That's awesome. Nothing like shopping for free! :woohoo: I have a 30% off coupon that is starting before Christmas, so you know I have to use it. And I have to get back there with my kohl's cash. If I don't have time to figure out what to buy I'll just get some K-cups!

You got some GREAT stuff for everyone!! Cya in Disney soon! :thumbsup2

Safe travels tomorrow! I'll be thinking about you! :goodvibes
Post FB updates!

Another great tour. Great job on Charleston. I visited once with the family over Thanksgiving and it was nice but I am sure we were stressed out. I need to go back to really enjoy it.

Oh, you really should. It's a fabulous city. Love at first sight. It's gorgeous, it's refined, it has good weather, beautiful homes, is surrounded by water, and has plenty of palm trees. What's not to like!

I will try to be sure to check in but incase I don't have a magical trip and shortly after you come back I get to go!:cool1:

Thanks! I am most certainly hoping for a magical trip!!!!!! :goodvibes

Good luck today, Mary Ellen! I am sure you will sing beautifully!

I just knew your pictures of Charleston would make me homesick, and I was right! I want to move back there right this minute. :goodvibes

Wow Charleston looks amazing! You sure visited some great cities. I love the fountain and the fact that there were flowers in late October.

All the old churches do look pretty and am glad you found them comforting. I'm glad your tour guide was lovely but I wouldn't be happy by a 'no touch, no picture rule either'

Good luck for tonight - hope everything goes according to plan and yay on the shopping! :woohoo: on it being 2 more days until you leave!!! In case I don't get to post on here again have an amazing trip!!!

All caught up! I'm not even sure where to start commenting!!

Your kayaking adventure looks fabulous! That's on my list for next summer! Finally go kayaking!

Charleston looks stunning!! I can't get over the beauty of the old south! HHI is definitely on my list!!!

I can't believe you're leavin in 2 days!!!! I'm super excited for you!!!!

So I was going to do replies, but it looks like I'm in a time wrap and my posts are listing a time that's in the future. It's freaking me out a bit, so I'll be back later.

Oh - any my ticker says 2 days, which makes me feel like I leaving Tuesday, but I'm not leaving till Wednesday. Oops - did I put the original date in wrong?

Looks like you have a fun trip planned! I can't believe you are going soooo soon!

Charleston looks beautiful.....I'd like to get there someday.

Best wishes on your singing, and good luck booking your ADRs!

Yay for Kohl's, going there later to spend my $20 on a watch for the DH. ME i do so love to buy clearanced Chaps summer tops in the fall & winter. Too bad that they are not sold in season for those prices!:lmao:

Enjoy your trip, I'm not sure when I will be going again to WDW.

Now I want to do a combined Charleston, Savannah trip. I did do an Outer Banks, Williamsburg trip once. That worked out well except for the part of going to pick up my sister near D.C. because no planes were leaving due to 9-11-01!

I hope today went well! :goodvibes

Your sunset pictures are so beautiful, I'm glad you went a little crazy with taking that many!

Charleston looks beautiful. And now I'm thinking a HHI/cruise trip would be awfully nice for the future. :scartchin
