Why not buy 7days w/ no expiration date?

I was looking at my ticket options and was wondering this. Why not buy the 7 day pass with the park hopper and no expiration option. That way I can lock in the price...go whenever I want and the tickets don't expire. It also brings the per person ticket price down to $41.

We live in Florida, but I don't want an annual pass because we still don't go that often in a year. I have triplets that are 2 1/2 and I know we may purchase annual passes in the future...right now it is too expensive for us.

Anyway...does anybody see any flaws in what I just described? Thanks!

I bought the 10 day parkhopping, no expiring, with 5 pluses and will use these for at least 3 different trips.

Just don't lose them!

This is exactly what we did this year...bought the 7-day hopper + 5 fun visit with no expiration. We did it for our 10-trip this Feb and our -2day stay before our cruise in June. (we primarily go the parks only 2-4 days on our 10-day trip anyway)

When I looked at a 10-day-hopper-no exp., I found that I can get the RENEWAL AP for less. Since I already have an AP I might as well renew it. I wasn't going to, but since it's less than the 10 day (plus the hopes of a room discount) I figured what the heck.

You seem to be a good canidate, because you don't need the hotel discount of the AP or Package...But why not do the 10 day....even more visits for less money. Good Luck...Sounds like it will work out good for you. Don't forget to get the Mousesaver Discount by registering for the Newsletter.

That's what my best friend did..she always stays at Vistanna, and only spends about 3 days per trip at WDW...she figures she will get 3-4 trips on her 1 ticket.

On Feb 15th you will get a newsletter, and besure you look it over while the twins are napping(I have 7yo twins...so I know what you mean...and it does get easier), you will see what we are refering to. Also do not delete your Mousesavers Newsletter!!!! We are not allowed to discuss it here though. We don't mean to be tight lipped, we are just following a request. Also besure to look at www.allearsnet.com another fantastic site (esp for the dining section and pics of accomodations) also the front page of the Dis Boards is fantastic too,

The new 10 day premium tickets have 10 park days and 6 waterpark/DQ days on them.

We always use the waterpark days as separate days in themselves, so that means you will be getting 16 days at Disney to spread out over a number of vacations!

I'd say that's smart. Check out the 10 day premium ticket at www.undercovertourist.com if you'd like to see a ballpark figure for it. I believe TicketMania's price through the Mousesavers link is $5 cheaper for the adult 10 day premium. That's the only ticket price I checked a few days ago, so that's all I can speak for.

...and my twins are now almost 17 (identical girls)...and it just gets better and better!

Glad to hear it gets easier with older children. We actually have triplets (two boys and a girl) who are 2.5 years old. It is better in some aspects and worse in others. Someone wise once told me that it never gets easier...just different!

Forgive me for jumping in, but we just returned from our first trip and loved it! and now we want to go back (now I know why everyone has so many repeat trips!) anyway, do you think it is best to do these 7 or 10 day passes w/no expiration dates and then just plan to use them for future use - we don't live in Florida so it would be buying them for 1-2 trips in the way future...but then I guess you lock in this years' price and I haven't done the math, but is it much cheaper?

We bought a 10-day/no expire for our youngest (DS3.5) prior to our trip in January (his first trip ). DW, DD6 & DD8.5 used tickets from our last trip in Nov. 2002. We also picked up an annual pass for me as DW and I will have an adults-only trip in Dec.

AS LONG AS YOU CAN KEEP TRACK OF THE TICKET AND MARK IT WITH THE NUMBER OF DAYS REMAINING, YOU COME OUT AHEAD ON THE PER DAY COST. If you know that you will probably lose them, you're better off just buying the right amount for your trip.

I remember reading somewhere that only 15% of tickets that were saved for later use were actually fully utilized. That's not a very specific statistic, but it gives you a general idea that only 1 in 6 tickets purchased get used up if not used during the initial trip.

Having said that, I've successfully kept tickets with unused days several times, so I benefit from the savings.

I just purchased 10 day MYW w/ park hopper and plus, no expiring for about 1.5 times what a 5 day would have cost. As long as I use the remaining days sometime over the next 8 years or so, I'll still come out ahead. Plus, having the park days already paid for, helps to 'justify' going sooner

Right, I feel like if we buy them then we HAVE to go again!! Also helps to pay off the trip little by little - but I agree that you may not really use it all...We live far enough away that we have to fly down so I don't know that we will come back but one more time... Last year we booked the trip then cancelled, and I was so upset that I already spent the money, then this year at the last minute we decided to come to Disney b/c our airline tix were going to expire, it acutally was a great thing tho - and the money thing didn't hurt as much... but there was a time when we thought we weren't going to use it - so I will have to think about it - but I do think you save on the prices, we got our 2006 tix right before the prices went up!
