Why No Holiday Ride Decorations?

I was at WDW in September and thought that I would see the Haunted House decorated for Halloween as I had heard that it is at Disneyland. I did not. Is there always such a difference in how much one location is decorated as opposed to the other? Are the changes for Christmas that I have heard are done at the Disneyland It's A Small World repeated at WDW It's A Small World?

After the last HM Major rehab I talked to the Area Manager for HM and asked about the Nightmare overlay. He told me that it, and the Small World Christmas, are not done at WDW as DL has about 70% repeat Guests while WDW actually has about 70% of visitors first time. They need it at DL because of the repeats. These numbers have been verified for me by others. So since 70% of the visitors are seeing these attractions for the first time there really is not much need to modify them.

True Bradk..But Could you imagine taking down HM, IASW ever year during 2 time frames to get it up and then again to take it down.People throw fits now over rides going down the same time every year, or going down at all for rehab

I would LOVE for Haunted Mansion to dress up like Nightmare Before Christmas every year.

I miss it and looked forward to it every year.

I understand the HM and IASW and their lack of holiday decor, however, Dumbo used to have santa hats during the Christmas party and, as someone else pointed out, Country Bears had a Christmas theme, too. There are a lot of cutbacks...

But it does explain why Country Bear Jamboree doesn't have one any more. It wasn't necessary based on the visitor mix and so ... no more Christmas bears.

Country Bears haven't done Christmas shows in years. That's certainly not a recent change. Not sure about Dumbo. I only saw that one year -- I don't think it was ever meant to be "we shall do this forever and always" kind of thing.

I only saw the Dumbo hats once too ..
