why no Fantasmic?

I noticed Fantasmic will be closed during the holidays. What a bummer because we were thinking about going this month. If I remember correctly, Fantasmic was closed last December too. Is this a trend?

Is Fantasmic always closed this time of year? When will it reopen?

WE need to tell Disney to keep Fantasmic open year round. It's a must for all true Disney fans.

Elements of Fantasmic require very heavy maintainance to keep them working smoothly. Especially the dragon. This is their downtime for that work.

I also remember hearing a rumor of them doing work to the river. Meaning they are going to be draining it. So with out water in the river there is no way for Fantasmic to run.

But the river doen't go to rehab till Jan.6th,2003!!

I remember seeing Fantazmic in March and April in past years,so is this summer schedule a post 9/11 thing??

They also had it in December in 2000.

I am guessing it is with #'s down they don't feel they need to show it.

The other rumor I heard is that they are NOT going to bring it back this year/summer.

That rumor hits every year at this time. Everything I've heard is that it's just a rumor and things are planned for Fantasmic to return in the summer. Unfortunately, not until JUNE if I remember.

I hate that they've cut Fantasmic's hours to such a short season. I've seen it in January, March, and May before. Why can't it run like that now? Must be cost-cutting measures.

Wow man that stinks i wanted to see that so bad. I was curious how similar it was to WDW. I cant believe they are stopping the shows. And if i go down and the river is drained it will be a total bummer!

I can't believe they shut down Fantasmic during the holidays. That show is the essence of the magic of the Disney experience. That show gives me goose bumps every time I watch it. What a bummer!!!

Message to Disney - if you want to attract more people to the park, then keep Fantasmic open year round.

Well, it looks like I'll be changing my plans and go to WDW instead in December. I MUST see Fantasmic!!!!!! (Also, having Matterhorn shut down in December is too much to take). I hope Disneyland will keep everything open for next December.
