The Travel Channel has lots of shows for WDW but none about Disneyland :guilty: My kids love watching the WDW shows and I would love to have them watch a show about Disneyland. We are taking them for a surprize trip at Easter.I can't even find any at the library.

There is one. I've seen it a few times. Of course, it's a bit old and outdated at this point (from 2003 I think).

Yeah there is 1... but only 1 so far that I have been able to catch. It is pretty outdated but covers the basics.

My library had a really old one that we rented. It was fun. It was called Sing A long Songs: It's a small world....it's a sing a long video but shows a lot of the rides...(Though I'd skip the "Haunted Mansion" song as it's nothing about the ride only that old Halloween Donald Dancing as a ghost thing that scared my 3 year old) Also, the Disney planning DVD is pretty good if you haven't checked it out yet.

Well I'm more selfish when it comes to the magic of Disneyland.

I'm glad they don't have any current shows or specials about it. The current crowd levels now are bad enough. There's hardly anymore "slow" season to be found.

I want the magic of Disneyland to be as much of a secret as possible :ssst: . So keep promoting WDW and showing all those wonderful travel channel specials on WDW, MK, AK, Epcot, MGM, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and their gorgeous resorts - I JUST LOVE THOSE SPECIALS! :teeth:

I found a great video at my local library titled disneyland. I is old, it's Walts dream and opening day at DL. :sunny: It was interesting :thumbsup2

Yeah I record every show
on Travel Channel about
WDW and I can never
seem to find any shows
about DL. I really wish
I could because I am
going there for the first
time in April. If anyone
knows when a DL special
is on TV, please let me
know...

The Great Hotels show on Travel channel has one on the Grand Californian. I don't always like the presentation style of the hostess of the show but, it was nice to see more of the Grand. It shows a bit of her walking around DCA too.

There was another one on Travel channel that talked to Imagineers about rides, featured a lot from Disneyland.

For kids the Sing Along at Disneyland is a fun way to introduce them to DL. I showed it to my preschool/day care class each time before I went on vacation. I made sure to tell them it was a very special place to go, but it is expensive, and I save money for a long time to afford it.

The parents would ask me " are you going on vacation soon?", as the kids would go home and tell their parents to "save your pennies" so they could go to Disneyland too. :teeth:
