Why No Boardwalk Inn Reviews?

We are staying at the BWI in December, and this is the first stay at any of the Epcot resorts. We chose this resort because I liked the room decor better than the others and I really like the idea of the Boardwalk. I see lots of reviews on the Yacht & Beach Clubs and the Swan & Dolphin, but not the BWI. Any tips or hints about this property? I know the transportation is not that great, but neither is it at our favorite the WL. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I believe this is because the BWI is significantly smaller than BC/YC and S/D. Many of us BWI lovers have posted reviews and info on the BWI FAQ thread that can be found at the top of this board.

It is a great place, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait until Feb. when we go back.

We really enjoyed our stay here in 2000. The Boardwalk is really fun and interesting. We rented a surrey bike and rode around the lake at least 3X! We were exhausted!! We loved the Italian Ice (this is a must as the flavors change often), Spoodles pizza window, the bakery, candy shop and sidewalk entertainment.

The pool slide is one of the biggest but the pool was also very crowded when we were there. The transportation is actually not that bad since you can walk or boat to EPCOT, boat to MGM and only have to bus to MK and AK. We never had any problems. We didn't end up eating at any of the restaurants here since we also had S/D and YC/BC to choose from. It's great having so many other places within walking distance!

You will LOVE the BWI. First of all the location can't be beat. Like the other posters said you can walk to Epcot and MGM. They also have a ferry boat to take you to both parks if you prefer. Your dining choices are endless with the YC, BC, Swan, Dolphin and the WS all at your fingertips. Spoodles is wonderful for breakfast and dinner, ESPN, Boardwalk Bakery, Seashore Sweets as well as booths along the BW selling hotdogs etc.

The rooms are large and beautfully furnished and the Christmas decorations should be up for your trip. It truly is a beautiful resort. The pool is great fun and the slide, Keister Coaster, is over 200 feet. There are elephants squirting water and several hot tubs. We spent 2 weeks at the BWI in 1999 and it still is one of our favorite places to stay. Our youngest DD still talks about the pool and the slide. With the great AP rates we decided to do a split stay between the Swan and the BWI. When in Dec. are you going?

Have a great trip

My Mom and I stayed at the Beach Club last September. We loved it! We did have a little walk from the elevator but it wasn't that bad. The rooms were gorgeous with lots of space. The pool was fantastic. Most of all you just can hardly beat the location. Epcot is our favorite and it was just a short stroll. We never waited on buses longer than 10 minutes. You are however the last in the drop off loop. We are staying(in 14 Days) at the Yacht Club only for something different and we thought the kids might enjoy the pool. I hope we made the right choice.

I just posted a review, it might be a page back. Do a search I know there aren't that many reviews but there are some.

We will be back in Dec. as well BWI is one of my favorites if you have any specific ?'s you can PM me.:D

If we were to tell everyone how great the Inn is .then it wouldn't be our little secert .
