Why Lime Green?

Can anyone tell me why is lime green associated with Disney? I've never heard of this before!

More or less its just a color adopted by DISers. You may have heard of us wearing lime green shirts or Mickey heads from Home Depot. This so we can find eachother in the parks... although I've had no sucess with that.

Same reason we have large round lime green nametags on our suitcases: They really stand out!

I always wondered about the lime green as well. Last week in the parks I kept seeing people wearing lime green. I was afraid to say anything to anyone unless it was obvious (for instance I saw a lime green Mickey head on someone's purse and another person had a DIS shirt). Other that that, I was afraid people might just happen to be wearing lime green.

It is not the most popular color in the world in everday living, so I am just guessing here, but someone said HMMMMM??? What would stand out in a crowd at WDW? And Then They Spotted the LGMHPCs and thus it began. There is a link on here to the original post that started the whole LGMHPC thing and if you had followed the whole process up until now it has been more for fun than anything else, but I know where you are coming from because I was the same way about the color until I just decided to research the whole thing and found our how hillarious it turned out to be. Sorry you have missed out on the best parts.
