women threw their underwear at rockstars long before nick jonas was ever even a though in his parents mind. hell, probably before his parents were a thought in THEIR parents minds.
You just illustrated a great point, though: the line between the two. Your example, IMO, crosses the line.
Dedication: purchasing expensive tickets, camping out- I can understand that.
Craziness/unhealthily obsessed: dressing as the bride of Jonas
There's an obvious division between the two. Crazy is crossing into a separate realm. Dedication might be purchasing merchandise and making a point to see them, because you're a dedicated fan. But dressing as a bride of Jonas does NOT make someone dedicated, it just makes her a little too obsessed- to the point where reality has been blurred.
Good. So when are her and Nick getting married?
What people don't understand sometimes, even if their all up in the moment, people lack the fact that these musicians are only people, they're just people like us...but more so, because they write music, play in bands, play in concerts, and so on and so forth.
But, that's just insane, and plus a few spoil it for the many when things like this happen.
not the point. all these fans want are there two minutes with these boys. we've all had a favorite band/ singer who we've wanted to meet. all these girls want to be noticed by them. it's like a having a crush on someone. no different then high school on that level.

Dressing as someone's bride is definitely going to get you a date, you're right. It's exactly like high school.
But yes, if someone wants attention, negative or positive, I guess it doesn't matter if the opposite party thinks you're a nutter.

it's ALL about getting attention, thats what all these girls want. i've seen the Jonas brothers several times... and every girl in the audience wants to be noticed. i mean who doesn't want to be noticed by a cute guy/girl every once in a while?
i couldn't hear the video. it was a dull roar of estrogen, sorry. but how many girls did he pick to call on stage? i saw teh first girl get escorted by the man in the black jacket. and then all of a sudden there were fifty girls on the stage, and they were all mobbing around him trying to take pictures.
also, i sort of feel like nick jonas is pretty famous, and he's famous enough to have the security guards who would not let that kind of nonsense happen. the first uninvited girl should have been taken off stage, not allowed to mob the star.
So why does attention seeking justify practically assaulting a singer?
I'm sorry, I do not see the logic. I highly doubt, should he get married, he'd end up with an obsessed fan.
thats great. next time i have a crush, i'll just attack them. that'll work.
just like all of those girls are going to be mrs. nick jonas someday. you don't disrespect anyone you "lurve" that way. its insane, its stupid, and it makes you look crazy. thats not being a fan. being a fan insinuates you like them, you don't disrespect the people you like, let alone assault them.

does this shine a positive light on the matter?
I believe he was going to invite about 3 or 4 girls onstage.
ITA about the security. The security on his tour seems to be pretty lax, as 2 girls have supposedly manged to sneak past and go into his dressing room.
everyone want's to be the biggest fan. i'll be the first one to tell you that. it's a show-offy type thing. one girls been to three concerts, another to 4. and that girl over there met them. it's about bragging rights.
