Why Is Tutto Italia Not A First Choice?

The menu is very appealing to me, but the price is not. I can get comparable food at home for a better price.

Been there, done that..and frankly, its not that good!

Out of all the Disney restaurants there are only 2 on my "want to do again" list. Cali Grill and Yachtsman.

We have eaten there twice and loved it both times. Good food, good service. We did not order a pasta dish though, we had the salmon, which was outstanding! And the desserts are amazing. If we were not on the dining plan I would go there just for dessert. :thumbsup2

I eat alot of Italian here. I have eaten there before and it was really good but I can't say that I would go there every trip. I had it on our trip coming up but I ended up changing it to accomidate other places that I thought was better.

Been there done that. Tutto will never be a choice for us again. oh Rainforest at AK no to that one also.

Tutto is a lovely place with good food. I personally felt funny in my theme park attire due to the atmosphere and the level of service here. We did enjoy our meals but next time I will dress differently and go with my husband and not my son whose table manners (no matter how I try to correct this) rival those of a caveman or rabid wolverine. The waitstaff did nothing to make me feel out of place - I just did. I guess we prefer amore casual atmosphere when dining with our little savages.

We went June 2009 and it was expected to be the highlight of our trip. This was the ONE ADR that DH requested and he was really looking forward to it.

While we enjoyed our meals and the service was fine, none if it was really outstanding. To the point that for our next trip in January he said not to bother making another ADR there. He thinks my Italian cooking is better, and I'm not Italian. :confused3 We're trying Les Chefs instead.

I really enjoyed it. Great services. But I would only eat here on the ddp. But also all the food at disney is way overpriced. Dining plan is the best way to eat at Epoct and not really care about how much a rip off the food is.

Italian is one of the more common types of food that people can get at home...with all the great TS meals in the world, it does seem a little bit silly to get Italian...just like getting Chinese at 9D. Just too much of an ordinary experience for some I guess :confused3

We ate there last year for the first time and are booked for December. We really liked it. The comical part of our dinner though was when dd said she really liked this restaurant and when I asked "why, do you like the spagetti?" she said "no, because they have hot waiters". I about busted out laughing. We did have a really good looking waiter so she was correct.

Loved it in 2008. Our waiter was great, very Italian. Food was wonderful.. not concerned about it being expensive, were on the dining plan. Didn't go back only because we wanted to try different places.

I think Tutto must be very hit or miss. After reading the great reviews, I chose it for my birthday dinner last year. Between my DH & I, we order an appetizer, 2 different entrees, & 2 different desserts. The service was great, as was the appetizer. The rest..... I guess we must have hit a miss. :p We don't even live in NY (;)), & I've had better Italian many places.

Ditto...our appys and desserts were tasty, but our entrees weren't that great.

Tutto is, IMO, way too expensive when paying OOP. Since we usually do not do the DDP, we haven't bothered trying it.

We also loved Alfredo's and had gotten to know the wine director there, so we have some negative feelings about the way the whole Alfredo's situation was handled.

I agree with many here. When we ate there a few years (paying OOP) I remember thinking that it was an awful lot of money for a bowl of pasta ... and not very good pasta at that! Of course I live in a city with world class Italian Restaurants so my standards may be too high.

We originally had Coral Reef booked for dinner one night and then my DH got to looking at the different menus. He asked if it would be possible to change out our Coral Reef ADR for a Tutto Italia ADR (since we have done Coral Reef a couple of times before and we have never done Tutto). I quickly got online and changed out our ADRs. Even though I have read many bad reviews of this restaurant, I can't wait to be my own critic....plus since we are on the DDP it won't be expensive for us either.

My sister, mother, and I went to dinner here in 2006. I know it was a long time ago, but we haven't been back, maybe one day. My sister and I could barely eat our dinner at Tutto Italia, and it wasn't that we were intimidated by the menu as we had been to Italy two years before and loved the food. Our waitress was really nice about it though and asked about the fact that we hadn't eaten much and offered to get us something else. We refused because we'd eaten some of my mom's (not that great but at least edible), and could always get a dessert later. The waitress took one meal off the check unbidden. There are just too many other places to risk going back to a place we didn't enjoy.

Great feedback, especially since we were thinking about trying this on our next trip.:thumbsup2

The filet of sole there is fantastic!!! one of the first reservations i make....when on the DDP....very expensive meal, but we absolutely love it....and the people we have sent there, loved it as well.

Subpar food and service. Grossly overpriced and way too underwhelming for us.
