Ok I have it narrowed down to 2 resorts, it will be just DH, DS (9) and myself who use an electric scooter, deformed hips ARG!
Anyways we are staying Dec 26 2018- Jan 2nd 2019, I will make the reservations Friday, so have plenty of time to get this paid for, please take a look at my poll and if you have a better idea put it out there in a reply lol why not make this even harder for me lol
Oh and we will probably be at our resort when the clock strikes midnight on New Years Eve

Also I have no idea if my scooter can go on the boat from WL, I know it cant go on the boat from GF to MK, however we always rent a truck

They do send a boat that can accommodate scooters at WL, but they also have boats that cannot accommodate them. You may have to wait a while before the larger boat would show up.

Well, I voted before I read your post and I've now changed my mind, LOL! I LOVE WL CL, but given your dates, I would try to make transportation as easy as possible so I would pick CR. We actually loved our lake view CL room there. You can see the EP fireworks and EWP from the room and can simply go to the CL lounge and see the MK fireworks from there. The elevators can get quite congested at CR, though, so to get to your room, you may need to wait a little to get an elevator. Staying in the garden wing would eliminate that issue, but then you lose CL and the view. For me, it would come down to what is more important to you.

Edited to add: BUT, on the other hand, the elevators do not get congested at WL and, if you are willing to sacrifice a little space, the standard CL rooms at WL have a view of the MK fireworks (we were in room 7052 in August and could see them directly from our balcony. Obviously, a little further away than CR, but a great view. Sorry if that doesn't help your decision making easier!

I voted for the CL at CR without theme park view as you should still be able to see the fireworks from other locations, including the club lounge, if I remember correctly. There is always something special about being part of the CL, even though some people can't feel like they justify the cost. As you pointed out, you have plenty of time to pay this off.

I've heard and read that the deluxe rooms at WL can feel pretty cramped, especially with the sofa bed pulled out. Add that in with the ECV, it might be too crowded. However, when I was at WL last January (and on the CL, room 7035 or 7037), I saw plenty of people leave the scooters out in the hallway. As a fellow guest it didn't bother me and I didn't see anything defaced or messed with. I would also recommend WL CL facing MK for the fireworks, but the rooms are smaller than CR.

Goof info! What important to me 1) room size 2) view and whats important to hubby 1) Club level 2) Balcony 3) Location
I like the info on CL at WL I wonder if you can see Epcot fireworks from deluxe room

I voted for CR club level if your hubby wants to try club level, I have always toyed with the idea. The rooms at CR are very spacious, we always stay in the garden wing but got upgraded to the tower with a bay view on our trip in August. I was worried about the elevator congestion people mention but we never found it to be a problem. The ease of getting to MK by walking in is amazing and would be convenient with an ECV, I wish we had stayed at CR when our DD was in a stroller. Also the monorail trip to Epcot should be pretty easy with an ECV.

The deluxe rooms at WL are 6th floor and below (double check on the WL resort thread). I don't think you would be able to see Epcot's fireworks, but I could be wrong! I do remember I was able to see some high fireworks from POFQ from my 3rd story outdoor hallway.

If the balcony is high on your list, for WL if you're on CL there are dormer roofs (unless you're in a deluxe room). So you would have to stand up to see the fireworks. As of last January you couldn't get the music on one of the TV channels during the fireworks either. That possibly could have changed. I've read they pipe the music in at Geyser Point.

As much as I love Wilderness Lodge (and will be returning home in January), based on what's important to you and your DH, CR might be a better bet.

We just had a theme park view at Poly and WOW, I can't even imagine having anything but a theme park view ever again. Watching the fireworks from our own room was completely spectacular. So whatever you choose, go with theme park view!

CR club level because you get benefit she of food throughout the day and drinks AND you can watch fireworks from the lounge balcony I believe? I've never stayed CR CL but I have read about it. Club is also nice for NYE when the parks are packed you can hang at the hotel and enjoy the CL

We got an upgrade from Lagoon View at GF to an Theme park view and loved it!!! The only downside was hearing the train, GF is much closer to MK then Poly but I would book that same room again in a heartbeat- if I had the money lol - TY for reminding me what an amazing view it was!!!

I want to thank everyone for their help and votes! I am going with tower room theme park view! Booking tomorrow! My hubby don't know, but I did ask him what's most important out of 1)room size 2) view 3) concierge and he said View! I was so worried cuz he has wanted concierge for awhile, maybe next visit
Oh and we love the food at WDW, I am going with the dining plan that includes 3 meals a day, and it's cheaper then concierge with the 2 meal dining plan - thx again!

Congrats on booking! And you never know, you could always ask about the upgrade when you get there. Or there might be some pixie dust sprinkled your way.

Just be aware that is likely going to be a LOT of food/time taken up by sitting down and eating at a table service restaurant, unless you are planning on a couple of signature restaurants. But you certainly know your family much better than I do. So just bask in the fact that you're going to Disney and are going to have a wonderful time!

how many are in your family? - Cr has a room limit of 5 people (a few have 4 guests) - now you might be able to get a 2-bedroom at BLT (next door to CR and a little closer to MK) it has a room limit of 9 people.

The boat from WL to MK can accommodate scooters, the boat that goes from WL to Fort Wilderness and Contemporary is the smaller one and cannot fit a scooter. IT's the same type of boat that goes between the GF and Poly and the MK.

CR elevators can get really crazy because of the Chef Mickey's crowd.
