Why is the hearse missing from HM?

DH surprised me with a trip to WDW for my birthday this weekend. We made a beeline for the Haunted Mansion. We rode it the first time, went to get into line again and noticed that the Hearse Carriage was gone. Missing. Totally removed !!!

I mean, disappearances in such place aren't really surreal and outlandish, are they?

We noticed it was gone last weekend (4/27) also. Maybe they are doing a little rehab work on it. Anyone know how long its been gone? When was the last time you saw it? Well, DD just said it was not there when she and DW went on (4/17)

When we lived in Montana, the funeral home in town had a similar horse-drawn hearse that was actually used for funerals. Maybe it was being used.
