OK, it was as good as I had hoped...but I only got to have one all week because we were always on the way somewhere and didn't have time to spend 20+ minutes in line! DH tried for me once, but we got all the way through the line for Captain Hook & Mr. Smee (including a 2-min break) before he could get through!

This doesn't seem that hard...

OMG! I am so glad that someone else has noticed that as well. We always comment on it when we are in line trying to get one; but forget about it once we are eating, lol. Can't be that difficult to make. We are :confused3 too.

Thanks for mentioning it.

It is small. There are three registers (and often only two are open). The person has to take the order, take the money, make change, and then get the items. If everyone is trying to do things at once they can easily get in each other's way.

I agree with Cheshire Figment .... Dole Whips are much more popular than the size of the stand allows for. But goodness, they are delicious!

We also seem to have the luck that they are training people when we stop. The new CM's aren't sure of what they are doing and it takes a while for them to get everything.

Because good things come to those who wait? :confused3 :goodvibes

But how long do they have to wait?:)

I also agree that it's the popularity overwhelming the size of the stand.

1) It takes 3-yrs for a pineapple to bear.
2) It takes time to use the harvesting machete.
3) It takes time to core and slice.
4) It takes times to puree the pulp.
5) It takes time to make the "whip".
6) At least that what it feels like while standing in line.

Like a lot/most places in WDW. Especially the smaller ones. Dole whip - so worth the wait!!!

I don't think it's the employees. What I've noticed is that people will stand in line and then when they get to the front they say "So, kids what do you want to get?" and stand there and ask questions and discuss everything.

Ain't that the truth about a lot of places. But with Aloha Isle, I think what happens is one person (usually a mom but that's just a general observation so please don't start saying "but I love them and I'm a mom!") will not want "ice cream" and goes off to the side or sits down or whatever. Then the dad will get up there and yell "hey honey, they have water, you want a water?" And then mom will say yes or no. And then dad will yell "they have fresh pineapple, you want any of that". And then mom will get up and come over and then discuss.

It's just a very different type place people aren't used to.
