Why is Storytellers impossible to get at the moment?

We did Storytellers Breakfast when we last came and it was a pretty easy reservation to get. We are coming up to our 60 day date, and I have been looking, and Storytellers has no reservations for the next 60 days-I expect that from Trader Sam's but Storytellers? Why is it so sought after? (Apart from the obvious, that Chip n Dale are there I love my boys!!)

Not sure why but we have had times when they do not follow the 60 day rule. Seems to be holiday related. I would keep checking

I see openings for everything except for Thanksgiving weekend. The website states that Thanksgiving reservations won't open until October 9.

I think dinner is going to be a tough get with the Christmas Carol characters.

As others have said, it's because of the special holiday events. But it still appears to be reasonable to get if you book 60 days out. It doesn't like parties of 2 for some reason, so you'd need to book for something more than 2 people.

Dinner for 4 people is available December 3 and December 4, unavailable for 4 people on December 2, so looks like you only have a few days after your 60 day window opens for dinner. Breakfast and brunch seem easier.

Edit to add: also Thanksgiving day itself has a separate event and starts booking on October 9, so it's not open yet.

Yeah this is a common occurrence at WDW too. It is annoying. I have the choice of reserving a table with the incorrect number of guests or being unable to eat at a long list of popular restaurants.

BUT...I did get Storytellers (used your suggestion and booked for 3 and will amend later) Can anyone shed light on who "Daisy's friends" are at her Pajama Party? If its not Chip n Dale in their jim-jams I might just cry!

Yes, It appears to be both of the ducks, chip and dale, and Pluto. There is a picture of them on the initial announcement if you want to see it

Dinner appears to be Mickey and Minnie, clarabelle, goofy and Scrooge ( as their respective Christmas Carol characters)

We're in the UK so were checking every few minutes from 2am! It's our wedding anniversary today and hunched over a keyboard was NOT how we wanted to spend it!! TS was briefly green at 6am, then immediately went to "Not available", even though I was on the website and DH on the app!

I’m not sure if there is a different reason, but I know Disneyworld Trader Sam’s (at the Poly) does not take reservations while the Trader Sam’s in Disneyland (Hotel) takes reservations.

When I tried to get Trader Sam's reservations for my Nov trip, I couldn't even see a single availability no matter what time I checked. It's ok, since we'll just try a walk-up, but I've NEVER had that happen in the many years I've been booking dining reservations for us.
