Why is North Face cheaper on Zappos?

Does anyone know why North Face jacket would be cheaper on Zappos than buying it in the store? Is it last years maybe? I'm in shock usually Zappos is more than other places?

I thought Zappo's was always cheaper. I've never shopped there but that's what I've always heard.

How much cheaper is it?

It's probably last year's colors. I bought 2 at klmountainshop.com, and 1 at 6pm.com late last spring, and saved them for now. They're last years colors, but I don't care; still the same great coat. I looked at Zappos too, but they didn't have the colors/sizes I was looking for.

It's $20 cheaper, and it's black, so it can't really be "last years" color. I'll wait and see what it looks like when I get it.

I usually only buy shoes on Zappos, and they are usually more money than places where I would have to pay shipping. I figured that's how they got away with the free shipping thing. Do you buy shoes too? Or are you talking clothes etc? I checked out 6pm.com and wow lots cheaper...are they always good quality? Unfortunately the coat I want is not on 6pm.com. I'm guessing that's a site you have to look at every day?

6pm is a sister site to Zappos.

I have ordered shoes from 6pm many times. Actually I have an order with them right now. Asics sneakers and a pair of boots. Both at great prices. First quality, not seconds.

I check in with them frequently to see what sales they are running. I occasionally get e-mails from them.

When I am looking for footwear, they are the first place that I check
