Why is no one being let into Epcot right now?

Lines are insane, and they're not letting anyone into the park . Been waiting about 20 minutes, and no one has been admitted into the park. Is something going on?

I would be shocked if Epcot actually reached any sort of phase closure. Their capacity is massive and doesn't even get met on NYE.


I wonder if perhaps there is a security issue that they just don't want to blast out to everyone.

There was a slight computer issue at Epcot's main entrance earlier. It affected the touch points and the ticketing computers and probably other systems as well.

Thanks, all! They let the crowd in after having the tapstiles closed for about 30 minutes. They didn't give a reason, and we missed our Frozen FP+ window because of it. We went to Frozen when we were left in anyway, and they let us ride, but the CM had no idea the gates had been closed. Park was very busy in World Showcase with Food and Wine, but Futureworld was maybe a 7/10. Definitely wasn't a capacity issue. Never saw any stage or holiday special taping, either. Who knows?

Schools and everything closed here for Veteran's Day. People making it into a long weekend and heading to WDW? Locals taking advantage of the day off, and going to Epcot? P

@ravenclawtrekkie has explained why guests weren't able to enter Epcot for a few minutes earlier today.

Closing as guests are currently able to enter Epcot without difficulty.
