Why is it taking so long to get confirmation?

I made two reservations an/around Jan. 15. I still have not received the confirmation letters in the mail. I called this past Tues. to ask what the hold-up was and it seems they may have mailed it to our previous address. They told me they would remail them to our current address, but we still haven't received them yet. How long has it been taking for some of you to get your confirmation letters?

I generally takes me a couple of weeks to receive the mailed confirmations. As long as your reservations are showing correctly on the Member Website, the mailed confirmations really are not necessary to check-in.

It has generally taken 10 days to 2 weeks for me to get my written confirmation.
But as Chuck S indicates the reservation is on the member website. I made a reservation on Friday and the reservation was online right away.
I just print that off and keep it with my planning papers and I'm good to go.

There are two reasons that I have found why we have confirmation problems.

The MS Adviser has to request a printed copy of the confirmation and sometimes they forget, so be sure to remind them.

The reason for the delay is that Disney sends the data file of confirmation requests to a outside vendor. They print and mail the confirmations in batches and depending on the cycle, there might be an additional delay.

Check your spam folder. My confirmation went there instead because it comes from a different address from disney reservations.

Booked online for September at AK Kidani a month ago.....got my e-mail confirmation within 48 hours and received postal confirmation to Australia within 3 weeks.

Pretty good from this end.....

This is a DVC reservation. I realize I can access it online, but this reservation was made with my membership for someone else. I really would like to have the actual letter to give them. Just wondering what everyone's wait times had been lately. If I don't have it by the middle to end of this coming week I guess I will call again.

Hi, I booked two ressies for others around mid-January and have already forwarded the hard copy to each of them....I received them both about 10 days after making them.

I had called MS to make DME arrangements and asked about the hard copies and was told that the hard copies are only mailed once per week...she thought it was on Fridays but wasn't sure. She offered to go ahead and resend them but I told her I would give it a few more days before I did that.

You might want to verify that they have everything with your address correct including spellings and the zip code.

I recently made two reservations. First one for my son and second one about a week later for dh and me. I received my confirmation in the mail but never received the one for my son

FYI...got my confirmation letters in the mail yesterday. Still waiting for my tax info.

I have found confirmation letters to be iffy. Sometimes I get one, sometimes I don't. Check on the member's website. It will show there.

I received 2 confirmation letters on the same day for reservations made 8 days apart. I've never received none at all, however.

I am guessing you made these reservations online otherwise they should have corrected your address over the phone the 1st time. Each time I call to make a reservation they verify my home address, telephone number and email. I hope I am not the only one that has to go through that each time.

FYI: I made a reservation on 2/7 and received the confirmation letter on 2/12.
