OK....of course we have to throw in a few Character Dinings because of the kiddos...well, me too!! :rolleyes1
DD loves ALL Princesses...this past July we ate at 1900 Park Fare (dinner - would do this one again...loved the food and atmosphere!!)..she loved it! We all did actually! And ate at Chef Mickey's (Breakfast)...loved it too!

My problem is...I would like to try a different 'Princess' dining.....which would be best?? (My kiddos and DH are somewhat picky eaters) ( I would also like to take the kids to BBB before eating w/the princesses but I am not sure if we would have time to do BBB before breakfast??)

- Cinderella's Royal Table ( Breakfast or Lunch??)

- Akershus (Breakfast or Lunch ??)

It seems like all the character dining we are looking at is for Breakfast....Tusker House, Ohana....oh cant decide...

Thanks so much!

<I tried to search for results but couldnt find what i was looking for>

I've done CRT twice, for dinner and lunch and both times we have loved it! The food was great and the experience wonderful! I'd highly recommend. We're doing Akershus this year to try something different, but I will go back to CRT again eventually!

I've done CRT for lunch and am going to be trying breakfast on my upcoming trip. I would highly recommend it, not only for the great princess interaction, but also because you get to eat in the castle! Surely, that cannot be beat.

As for Akershus, I've never been (I've also booked breakfast for my upcoming trip), but I've heard nothing but positive things about the breakfast there. Reports are that the character interaction is even better than CRT. The only thing to keep in mind with a lunch here is the food options. I've heard that it may not offer a whole lot for extremely picky eaters, but otherwise it is good.

Hope that helped!

The problem is not that you want somethign different, it's that much of the character dining is similar. We personally try to keep it to one CM per trip, that way we aren't doing the same exact ones over and over again. Breakfast is nice if youa re paying oop, but the food offerings aren't all that different from what you get in a QS meal. I simply mean bacon and eggs are bacon and eggs..there's isn't much else..the one Disney food I find unique is Mickey waffles. I think the CM dinners offer more variety.

Anyhow, I mostly try to pick our diniing based on our resort and where we'll be. If you are at an Epcot area resort - you pick mostly in that area, if you are near MK - you pick in that area. At a value or mod, you pick things near the park you plan to be near. (Except POFQ pairs nicely with DTD.) If I have my way, I like sushi once - there's only a few WDW options. Otherwise, each family member gets a suggestion or a vote and there's a few all like. We like AKL. There are also some places we don't like.

I also like to mix it up between buffets and menu places. I never put two buffets back to back - esp dinner and breakfast the next morning - I think I'd pop!

So sticking to those few rules, it's not that difficult to narrow the choices- so long as you are familiar with them. If you are kind of new to plannig then I could certianly see how it would be overwhelming!

Of your choices, I think it's neat to dine inthe castle once, but we were't all that impressed by what you get for what you pay. I've been many times, and never been to Norway's TS. We love the Noway bakery, but the TS menu had never appealed to us. I may well try it next trip because I'm rapidly running out of new places to try. :confused3
