why is it so crowded this weekend?

We are leaving Wednesday- and did get a hotel room...but why is it so crowded this weekend?

Hello, I believe a lot of schools are having their spring breaks right now.

We were just there last week and I too was surprised at the crowds. Even though I have seen them much worse I was surprised to see so many people. But while it was early for most school spring breaks, I was told by a cast member that there was a national band competition plus several sports involving teams from all over the US. He said that a national cheerleading competition was coming up too--so you will see a lot of teenagers. I saw a few groups with matching shirts that read senior trip. It was a wonderful week and the wait times for the rides weren't bad. One time the wait for Soarin read 60 minutes but we were in and out in 30 minutes!

Our local schools had spring break last week and a couple had it this week so I'm sure that's the cause.
